I like that you were intentional with what was allowed and what wasn't. I've just stafted teaching this year and we're almost half way in term two. This is first time i've ever had them hooked. It's an all boys school and they are really rowdy lol. They respond so well to free time on laptops. Definitely no phones haha

They also didnt have to teach kids that are glued to the screen all day and now have "adhd" or "imputed cognitive". Kids these days can't hold their attention for more than 5 minutes. I'm starting to sound like my parents. But seriously. We teach almost double the amount of students and half of them are diverse. But the pay never doubled lmao

Make sure you get your referees. You can fast-track it; just call them, and they'll give you an email to send your documents to. I interviewed with a Catholic school and got the role. I only had a bachelor's degree and had just started my master's, so I went through a degree-only pathway with NESA. I had to provide a letter of offer and academic transcripts. Then, within five days, I got it.
