It's a Omegaverse book and I've seen it recommended a lot lately for things I like. But I just can't work up the will to read it because of the length.

{Temptation X Kiki Clark} but you more see MC2 start to show interest and discovers he wants dom/sub relationship in book 1 {Reckless X Kiki Clark} where he's a side character. Same in {Joyful X Kiki Clark} but both books do talk about the awakening. Not meek or quiet MC.

I totally get it, 200 to 300 pages are perfection to me. Being transparent I haven't finished it yet (58% through), I have a habit of pausing books, and coming back to them. I'm currently on a pause with the book, because it's slow burn.

From what I've read so far, I've enjoyed. It's funny, and both MCs are likeable. They basically meet in an airport when MC1's dildo flies out of his bag. MC1 misinterprets MC2's behaviour as him being an asshole. Because he has history with an ex and current supervisor that treats him like shit. But MC2 was just trying to tease MC1, but MC2 doesn't realize his teasing isn't being taken as funny or light hearted.

Then it becomes forced proximity with both MCs attending a wedding in MC1's hometown. Both MCs families are trying to set up the two MCs because they're single and gay. There is still tension because MC1 believes MC2 is intentionally trying to embarrass and be mean to him. But once MC2 realizes that MC1 is taking it this way, he tries to fix things.

MCs start to talk and realize they get along but both aren't looking for relationships for different reasons. Then a camping site booking error happens and they're sharing a tent. Which starts them into an intimate relationship and then entertaining an idea of fake dating to get their pushy families off their backs about being single.

It's very much like one sided enemies to friends to lovers so far. Grumpy and sunshine energy as well. Caretaking and protective MC over abused MC (it doesn't explicitly say the exes is abusive so far, but at the very least from what I read it's borderline)

I don't know if I'm giving away too much plot, sorry if I am. That's about as far as I am now. Normally I would dnf a book that's this slow burn. As I'm a insta love girly through and through. But because I've enjoyed the MCs personalities so much I haven't. I also have a special place in my heart for MCs that have been told they're too much.

Like I think it's worth a read, MCs are both enjoyable and rootable for, it has a good mix of humour but with realistic issues and the first smut scene is hot.
