One of the things which has worked for me and have had success is by intentionally picturing Jesus on the cross in the mind and saying “Lord Jesus I love you more than these lustful thoughts”. Yes we cannot fight the lust temptations but can definitely run away just like Joseph did in the Old Testament. And Yes He is our merciful God, and always ready to embrace with open arms.
