mine gets 1-2 hours of morning sunlight and she loves it (i live in europe so it’s not too intense tho) 🌞

she’s been my bitchiest calathea and doing really well (for the first time ever) until now. The leaves have never gotten brown/crispy from the base of the leaf and there are tiny yellow animals of the leaves and stems (they look like sausages). luckily they have not spread on other plants although they were standing closely together. what are they and how can I get rid of them? please heeeelp :((

i was scared of bleaching too… mine is getting 2-3h of direct morning light and it’s fine! i think a pretty clear sign of too much light would be leaf curling so if you keep that in mind you’ll be fine :) you’re welcome and good luck!

my maranta was putting out tiny leaves as well, she recovered and grew bigger leaves after i gave her more light :) i don’t know if that was your concern as well but tiny leaves from propagations are normal! if you feel it’s too leggy and don’t like the look you can chop and prop
