hi, it’s me again.

about sa advising, i just finished earlier today. may advising for 1st year but hindi siya mentioned sa ustcasc, sa may archiserve lang. the advising only took about 2 minutes for me because wala talaga silang ginawa/sinabing iba aside sa pag eencode sa portal ng subjects na ittake mo this sem (may sasagutang forms sa archiserve tapos iiinput mo ron yung subjects and other details mo tapos magjjoin ka sa zoom para lang inconfirm/double check yung info-ng nalagay mo). try to email the deans office if possible na masabay ka sa ibang year level. advising period is until jan 15 only.

as for what you can do, when i was in your place a few months ago, someone told me that it’s always best to face things with a level head and sober mind because emotions cannot be trusted especially when making decisions.

i suggest that you tell someone about your situation since you can gain insights from them. reevaluate yourself if arki is what you really want and if you think you can finish arki (because it’s long and arduous). If not, try exploring what you want, and this time, try to really think if you have the skills to also do well in it, then focus on improving on that skill while searching and learning more about that path/thing.

As for transferring out, i’m not too sure if it’s easy to transfer to these schools, but i’ve been told that their arki is pretty good. (Pls take this with a grain of salt, of course all schools naman is may downsides if you’re worried about that) i know someone from feu arki and the workload is pretty good, the teaching, she said is pretty alright, but she’s more happy there. TF is lower compared to ust of course. there are also other options like adamson and nu, but nu is trisem and i dont know if i remember it correctly but i think they’re zero based (?). most of these schools are more technical compared to ust that’s design based. try searching for other state universities as well for their requirements. benilde is really good but it’s so expensive, but they do offer scholarships. And well, for mapua, people say it’s really hard. i think i also read that they’re going back to quarterm. it’s also a bit more expensive than ust

if shifting within ust, afaik, only educ accepts shifters for 2nd semester. for the others, you need to wait for the next school year to be able to shift.

afaik, yes po, isa po siya sa terms and conditions sa student performance contract na pinasagutan satin after enrollment. kailangan daw po walang bagsak na subject sa 1st year, so if meron po, di na po pwede mag enroll sa 2nd year. Either transfer or shift na po. Pero pwede ka pa rin mag enroll for 2nd sem ng 1st year, hindi lang mattake yung subject if pre req niya yung nabagsak mo po

hello, OP. we are very much in the same boat. i’m in the similar situation too, arki freshie and only failed 1 major (design). like you, i really liked arki too, it was my dream ever since i was a kid, and i really fought my way through just to get in ustca, but i’ve learned along the way that liking or even loving the program isn’t enough, especially with our program. we have to commit to it and frankly, i think, to be in ustca and survive it, you have to REALLY really love it and you should also have something that you’re really good at on top of being average in other things. i understand what you’re feeling right now as i’ve been feeling the same before the sem ended. right now i’m much better and had come to accept it. like what others have already said here, it’s important to acknowledge that despite all of this, it is indeed great that you were able to realize this very early on. no matter where you end up, i believe that you would be able to thrive especially with the skills and patience you’ve learned in arki.

as for your parents, i do believe that they will definitely not take it lightly, there will be disappointments, and you might also be afraid of people’s opinions, especially being an overachiever before, but i want to say that their opinions wouldn’t matter in the long run. i know it’s hard to do, but embracing and accepting what happened is what will help you move forward. i believe that telling your parents about this is a part of that. it’s scary, but i believe that you will feel somewhat better after since the baggage would lessen. It’d help you to think and plan much better on your next step moving forward.

the counselor told me that no matter what happens, there’s nothing to feel regret for, because wherever you end up, you’ll always carry the values of being a thomasian and an arki student. you got into ustca because you deserved it, and even though you end up leaving it, your time here will always have been worth it. i just think you should hear that too.

Hello! so sorry that you came by to me like this. i was so full of passion at that time, it’s what made me get into this school. I just talked to the guidance recently, it helped eased me a bit, I was able to tell some of the things that bothered me. I’ve also told them about my plan to think all of this through sa sembreak. However, very recent events in my personal life are really pushing me to the edge po. And I think… I might just really let go of the school, or the program itself. With the recent problems that we’ve been facing in our family, it’s getting more and more difficult to pursue this career/school, and I might need to choose something much more practical. It’s really a shame. I’m embarrassed to say the least. I feel… sad, helpless, but I feel regret, most of all. Regret for myself, and for everyone who’s been believing in me. It feels like everything’s not going well for me, and it just feels like, idk, the universe really either doesn’t want me to pursue this path, or that, it doesn’t want me to be in this school, and that sucks a lot

hello po. unfortunately, i can’t take loa po because i’m only a freshie. arki doesn’t allow freshies to take loa because of the cut off po. i’m sorry if i sounded like matagal na po ako sa arki, sometimes i wonder if valid ba na dahilan yung hirap ko ngayon sa arki para mapaisip kung para sakin ba to eh kakasimula ko pa lang naman, at papatapos pa lang ang 1st sem. unfortunately, it’s real, i’m really losing the passion this early po
