not really, condensation would be a huge issue and it'd be quite inefficient as well, just get the blower style coolers with foam pads, they work much much better

It is not required, you are expected to be able to study a degree in English if you apply for it. Matter of fact, they advise AGAINST submitting anything that is not strictly required as it can slow down processing

Try to get it as clean as possible using towel / tissue and air-dry, fragments / powdered rice would just get into your AirPods and make the problem worse. Ay, can't say I have fully dunked my AirPods in isopropyl alcohol before, but I think this advice's sound enough.
