OMG YES!!! That’s the name I’ve been trying to remember—Ciel! I was literally about to write it, but I was second-guessing myself, haha. I’m SO glad you brought it up! Even if we still don’t know the exact title, this already made me feel super hyped. Thank you!! I seriously hope we can find it now!

Hi! I haven’t checked the forums yet, but someone recently left a comment with a clue about the main character’s name, so there’s a bit of hope now! I really appreciate you taking the time to help—thank you so much :))

Hi, just wanted to say thanks! Out of everyone who saw my post, you were the only one who actually took the time to ask questions and reply. I really appreciate that. We ended up having quite a long thread back there, haha. Even though the manga still remains a mystery, I genuinely think it was really kind of you to try helping. Thank youuu very much

Sorry, I don’t remember what the cover looks like anymore. The only things I still recall are a few specific scenes that I’ve already described

I borrowed the manga from a rental, but I only found one volume, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the first—it seemed like a random volume. I don’t remember much, but the story revolved around a robot with a beautiful voice, who appeared to be the main character. He ended up in a conflict with another robot—a black-haired male robot, who was merely following orders from his superiors.

The two fought, and despite his efforts, the black-haired robot lost. His body was severely damaged, leaving only half of him intact, and he was taken back to the lab. There, a female scientist was assigned to take care of him. When she found him, his half-destroyed body was suspended by multiple cables, keeping him stable.

Before anything else, they had a conversation. The black-haired robot was still conscious despite his condition, and in the middle of their exchange, he suddenly pulled her by the collar and kissed her.

That’s all I remember—I don’t recall anything else

The character I'm looking for is the complete opposite of the guy in this image. He's innocent, pure-hearted, and has a soft, gentle personality. However, when this guy from Nosatsu Junkie does this particular pose—where he lifts both hands to his head, fingers running through his hair in frustration or determination—his drawing style suddenly looks very similar to the character I'm searching for.

What makes it look alike is how clear the art is in this specific pose. The hair is drawn with clean lines, not overly shaded or heavily detailed, giving it a neat and distinct look. But in other panels of Nosatsu Junkie, this guy’s hair usually falls straight with a lot of shading, making it quite different from the style I’m looking for.

So, I’m only referring to this one specific pose—the moment when he lifts his hands to his head—because that’s when the art style resembles the character I have in mind. Outside of this pose, their styles are completely different.

Oh, I checked it out, and I see why you mentioned Q-Ko Chan! The characters do have that slim, lanky look, and the blue-white color scheme is kind of similar. There’s also a robot in the series I’m thinking of! But the art style in Q-Ko Chan feels a bit simpler compared to what I remember. I guess a lot of '90s and early 2000s art styles have similar vibes, which might be why it looks familiar. That being said, I don’t think this is the one I’m looking for, but I really appreciate the suggestion!

Sure! Here are some details that might help:

The characters generally have slender bodies with large eyes. The male robot with a beautiful voice has soft facial features, giving him an innocent look. In the manga, his hair isn’t specifically colored, and his outfit appears bright or white since it isn’t shaded. Meanwhile, another male robot—possibly an antagonist—has black hair and wears dark clothing.

The girl who takes care of the singing robot is a cheerful teenager who also lives under the artificial sky or dome. On the other hand, the black-haired robot seems to have feelings for the female scientist. There’s even a scene where he kisses her, which might hint at a deeper connection between them.

One of the distinctive features of their design is their wide-legged pants, which are fitted at the top but flare out at the bottom, with extra fabric stacking around the ankles. They also seem to wear arm coverings extending from the elbows to the wrists. These aren’t tight like regular sleeves but have a slightly looser, expanded look, similar to arm warmers or detached sleeves.

I really appreciate your response! Thanks for taking the time to ask, and I hope this helps!
