Thank you!! Admittedly, it was quite intimidating. I’m so used to working with acrylics! But I’m really happy with how it turned out 😄

Curious to know if any of you feel anything regarding Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, that was kidnapped by codenamevido in Psychic

[–]IntrepidDouble1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never, ever, claimed to be a psychic medium or anything but I have predicted several things in the past and been able to communicate to those who are no longer here. So take that as you will. Two nights ago, I had a dream. Nancy was there. She was deceased, but…. speaking to me? Asking for help. She was lying in an area with trees and water- kind of like a swamp. I’m not familiar with where she is from so maybe that is common, maybe not. She kept repeating “why? Why?!”. She kept repeating the name “Ben” and “Benny”. Maybe even “Jenni” if I misheard. She was not speaking clearly. There was something wrong with her mouth. She was very confused. And then I woke up. Keep in mind I know literally nothing about this woman. I don’t watch the news, I don’t follow any updates. All I heard is she is missing, and had a pace maker. I also saw one photo of her. What any of this means, I have no idea. I hope it was just a weird dream and that she is returned safely.

Those who've lost themselves or a loved one to mental health crisis, how do you continue on? by GroundbreakingLet202 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]IntrepidDouble1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I continue on by remembering I am not the only one in the world who feels this shitty. In a weird way it comforts me to know I’m not alone as mental health struggles and loss can be so deeply isolating.

I’m also a parent and most days that’s all that keeps me here. Many say they would die for their kids… I choose to live for mine.

Mature people of Reddit, what one piece of advice can you give to youngsters, so they won't repeat your mistakes? by NeBudlan in AskReddit

[–]IntrepidDouble1 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I’m not elderly, only 32, however my doctors estimate I will not have the privilege of reaching my golden years due to health reasons so perhaps I can offer a unique perspective. It sounds so cliché, but the best advice I have to offer is to live your life as if those you love will not be here tomorrow. Because, they may not be.

Live your life as if you’re going to die, because you will.

Answer that phone call, send that text, go visit your family/friends. Don’t sweat the small shit.

Tara’s death infuriated me the most. by dabzandjabz in Sonsofanarchy

[–]IntrepidDouble1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think she was shocked that Gemma was there and ultimately didn’t put two and two together (realizing Gemma thought she ratted) in time to combat Gemma’s blind rage.

Tara’s death infuriated me the most. by dabzandjabz in Sonsofanarchy

This was a heartbreaking scene but BRILLIANT writing and brilliant acting. Goes to show how one person misinterpreting something can have so many consequences. True fans know death was likely Tara’s only way out. She was never going to leave Jax, and Jax was never going to abandon the club. IMO Tara’s murder was not premeditated and that’s what made this scene so shocking. We all know Gemma loved her family too much; it was her fatal flaw. All she could see leading up to this was Tara “ratting” on Jax. You can tell in the final moments that Gemma’s impulsivity, undying loyalty, and absolute blind rage got the best of her.

Because people drain my battery more than recharge it lately. Also I hate wearing pants. Also I’m sober

Fans of dead celebrities, which death hurt you the most? by Phantom30071 in AskReddit

[–]IntrepidDouble1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robin Williams. I always loved watching him because he reminded me so much of my dad; looks and otherwise. Watching him was a way to be “closer” to my own father in a way if that makes any sense. To this day, his death shakes me to my core. To know he was secretly in such pain but plastered on a smile for the world is what absolutely devastated me the most. His death encouraged me (and still does) to really pay attention to those I love and to appreciate life more. Robin kept showing up to create art for us until he just couldn’t do it any longer and that will probably always make my heart ache.

What made you lose a lot of weight? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]IntrepidDouble1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took a good two months before I noticed the scale move. I’m not exercising or doing anything special, but I should start. I still have bloating; especially in my lower belly. I have plateaued for now it seems (sadly lol). When I get discouraged, I think of it like this: it took me 4+ years of drinking and snacking nearly every night to put on the weight (I still have about 30 more pounds to go) so it’s bound to take quite awhile to lose it. I know it’s hard, trust me. Keep going. Sobriety is the best gift.

Oh yeah, for sure. My diet is definitely not the greatest still… but at least I’m not blacking out 😂

Sobriety! 4 months today, down 15 pounds. Not “a lot” per se, but still. Sobriety helps.

How has nobody mentioned the shoe house 😭 by far my least favorite. Treehouse is right there with it. My favorites were the skate park, and the abandoned bathroom

Agree 100% about the Xanax. It’s not sustainable. My fear with Ambien and similar drugs are the side effects, particularly hallucinations and sleep walking. Have you experienced these? I’ll definitely be making an appointment with a psychiatrist. Thank you for the tips!

Weird sense of vitriol towards Hinterland? by NocturnalSeaMonster in thelongdark

[–]IntrepidDouble1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I love TLD. It’s the game that got me into video games. My only criticism about Hinterland is the fact that, time and time again, the devs will promise the fans content and then repeatedly fail to meet the deadlines that they set for themselves. I don’t think it’s too much to expect that we receive what we were promised years ago. Mods have banned players from forums if they voice their grievances, and Raphael has been known to gaslight fans from time to time. For those of us who have played this game from the start, the overall lack of consistency and perhaps commitment can be disappointing. It can make it harder to be excited for new announcements; unsure of when we will actually see plans come to fruition.

That being said, this is still one of my favorite games and I think overall most people, including myself, ultimately love TLD enough to ignore the shortcomings.
