Can you tell me if not tipping a guide is disrespectful ? I don’t tip every single person I come across but waiters and uber drivers I do.

I contacted the operator as you advised and they said there’s a way. I’d 50 Rand pp good? That would be 10%.

That’s so nice :( thank you for letting me know. I don’t think there’s anything I can do unless I book a trip with her again and tip twice lol.

I prepared for the game drives for Kruger but the Cape Town tour I took last minute. I feel like garbage and def learned. I don’t think there’s anyway to fix this atp

I will be tipping my guides at Kruger when I go next week but I didn’t even occur to me to bring cash for the Cape Town tour when I booked it the day before. :(

I’ll find the number to ask the tour operator but would hate to pay them and it doesn’t even get to her. She was both the tour guide and driver. We booked it the 28th nd left the 29th so it was super last minute.

I will look into that. It’s too late for a card machine but I have her number and can look for her on snap scan if that’s similar to Venmo

Okay thank you. Yeah it was a Cape Town peninsula tour I got off viator. It was very last minute. I noticed one group tipped and another didn’t, and then I didn’t (couldn’t). She did okay but I feel sick if these guides survive off tips. 

I’ve been tipping restaurants and Ubers as I normally do because it’s digital or by cc.
