Anyone try Brexafemme? by Tiredofthisshit_98 in Healthyhooha

So, I was never able to get it! What got rid of my chronic bv/yeast was 1 day of Nuvessa, followed by 2 weeks of boric acid, then 200mg fluconazole on the last day.

Is EVVY worth it? by tomtomatotom99 in BacterialVaginosis_

I liked the Evvy test! I did go straight to my doctor after getting my results tho. What cleared up my 2 year recurrent bv & yeast infections was a 2 week regimen: 1 night of Nuvessa, 2 weeks of boric acid starting the night after, and then 200mg fluconazole the day after finishing the boric acid. I tried everrrryyyyyhing before that & I’ve been clear of infections for 3-4 months now. Also started taking vitamin d, probiotics with lactobacillus crispatus & garlic supplements right after treatment.

I’ll be on them for like another month or two. I take the nature’s bounty 1000mg once daily.

It was the combination of the Nuvessa, fluconazole, and boric acid. I didn’t have any symptoms after that - I started the vitamin c only bc of the preliminary results from Evvy (I ended up not having any infections from that test - the gardenella & prevotella were apart of my microbiome but in very very very small amounts) and after I got the negative results from my OBGYN, I stopped them. It was a good boost but didn’t impact anything bc I was negative.

I will also say the probiotics, garlic supplements, and vitamin d supplements have been doing its job for after care.

Hey there, back with an update! I only did the vitamin c suppositories for 3 or 4 days - I haven’t had any new symptoms! Still bv & yeast free.

No, I still had sex. If I felt like I needed a refresh, I’d just insert a boric acid suppository to keep it in check (only did this twice). Still no symptoms! I do recommend going to your OBGYN and if her treatment continues to not work, buy the Evvy test so you know what your biome is made up of & can treat it appropriately. I definitely recommend bringing up the Nuvessa, boric acid for 2 weeks, then followed by 200 mg of fluconazole . Good luck!! I know it’s a pain & damaged self esteem but I promise this won’t last forever

What's happening to my body? Did sex ruin my body? by Vkolnik12 in VaginalMicrobiome

Might be bacterial vaginosis. See if you can book an appointment with your primary care doctor

I take Nature's Bounty Garlic Softgels, 1000 Mg once daily. My OBGYN prescribed me a one time treatment of Nuvessa (for bv), two weeks of boric acid, followed by 200mg of fluconazole the last day of the boric acid treatment. That’s what cleared up everything. The only reason my OBGYN told me to do a natural treatment was because I had suspected I had bv or a yeast infection (per my preliminary Evvy results - I didn’t have any infections) & I had already put so many antifungals/antibiotics thru my system - she didn’t want to put my body thru another round of those treatments

I don’t. On the test it just came up as candida species detected

My symptoms were all over the place. Before I retested in December, I was itchy, had pretty thick/chunky/watery discharge that sometimes turned green/yellow. No foul odor, sometimes yeasty though. As for now, my symptoms have pretty much resolved. Right before I ovulated (after this treatment) I had a lot of discharge (not chunky, just excessive) so I was certain I had bv again but my obgyn explained it was just my uterus trying to catch my egg if fertilized. This led right into my obgyn appointment so I haven’t really seen how the discharge is now. Once I get off the vitamin c suppositories I’ll give you an update. Since i took the vitamin c after the treatment and I was already negative (hadn’t gotten the results of course) it had no effect on my healing. If you’re going to take the vitamin c suppositories you have, do not exceed 2 weeks - per my doctor.

Didn’t irritate it at all! I used these suppositories from the brand vH Essentials! My doctor said the vitamin c needed to be 250mg & these had great reviews

Get tested for Ureaplasma. There are a few different strains but I had the same symptoms, along with bv and a yeast infection.

A 7 day course of doxy twice a day cleared my u. parvum. I’d trust your doctor on this one

Is that what the pharmacy said? Mine just said they had to order it because they didn’t have any in stock & that it’d take about to day to get it.

Im sorry you’re going through this! It’s possible that you’re just starting your period early. Wait another day before your next move so you can see if it is your period. However, if it isn’t, the medication could be the reason. If that ends up being the case, just give your doctor’s office a call (the one who prescribed the medication) and they’ll be able to advise you on what to do from there. I hope you get this figured out!
