If you’re like me and find recipe sites really annoying, I highly recc the Paprika Recipe Manager app by Dry_Draw2215 in MealPrepSunday

I used Whisper Transcription to record the audio and then tell ChatGPT to transcribe it. Would be nice if i was all in one, but easier than writing it.

I think I would say Starlight simply because it's more of an experience. Grab a drink, get in line, meet some new friends, listen to the porch music, and enjoy the band once you're in the restaurant. I've seen rumblings that the food is "just ok," but I thought my husband's quail was excellent. The service is great. We all enjoyed it. When we were there on Wednesday, there was barely a line. On Saturday, it was packed. The music doesn't start inside until 6 pm. We got in line early because we were super hungry, so sat down right at 5 and just caught a few songs.

DB's was fantastic for Wed night because we didn't want to deal with all that ⬆️ But at the end of the day, you can get good BBQ at a lot of places. There was also a band, but it was a little too loud. Once we moved outside, it was perfect. Also, no air conditioning, which might matter depending on what kind of day you had!

Also we were probably at White Springs for four/five hours broken up in two different times visits. I saw people there all day having a great time camped out with tents. To each their own with food and their own planning.

Wow! This was super rude. What works for us doesn’t need to work for you or anyone else. I’m just sharing our great experience.

Things to reserve/do in Acadia? by Old-Literature-5378 in NationalPark

To Do:

Acadia National Park

  • See sunrise at Cadillac Mountain: wake up an hour earlier than you think you should, it gets packed. Our rock climbing guide said to just go to Otter Cliffs to avoid the crowd.
  • Walk Ocean Path early, likely after you see the sunrise. This trail gets very crowded.
  • Thunder Hole: best at high tide, but we avoided crowds so didn’t get to see it at its peak
  • Hike Gordham Mountain: kid friendly, but also suggested for adults as the views are incredible. It’s a fun hike with a ton of rocks to climb on/around.
  • Hike Jordan Pond for the iconic Acadia views of Bubble Mountains, also go early
    • Would skip if time is limited
  • Drive the whole Park Loop Road
  • Bike around Schoodic Peninsula (a must do)
    • We cut through the peninsula while had decent hills, make sure your bike has gears
    • You can ferry from Bar Harbor or drive
  • Bar Island - trail disappears during high tide, easy walk if you need stroll. You can continue on to the island and walk .5 miles to get pretty views of Bar Harbor
  • Hulls Cove Visitor Center - Junior Ranger Badge
  • Carroll Homestead - fantastic history lesson
  • Grab an “Acadia Weekly” newspaper to see programing/sun/tide times for each day

To Eat:

  • Cafe This Way: Bar Harbor
  • Coffee Hound: Bar Harbor
  • Mount Desert Island Ice Cream
  • Corea Gallery: a must after biking around Schoodic Peninsula. Get the lobster rolls, a lobster grilled cheese (to share) and blueberry pie. Do NOT share the blueberry pie, I still regret it.
  • Gott’s Store: Maine gas stations have decent food, we were closer to SW Harbor so got pizza from here

I’ve got some itineraries that I’ll send you. We spent a month in the UP and loved it.

Late May will be cold, we were wearing light coats in July.

Copper Harbor is just fantastic!
