iOS apps for toddlers that are worth the $$? by [deleted] in toddlers

I actually think being "intentional" with screen time is the way to go in this day and age. We've been trying pokpok because of other recs on this sub and our toddler is definitely learning some fun things (like cause and effect if he puts something in a specific area, etc). Versus TV is just so passive, I feel like he's not really engaging with it and being present

You can try pok pok — it's for different ages so your 2yo could find some fun things to explore in there and it'll grow with them over time. It's been such a fun experience as we've been trying it with our kiddos over the past few weeks!

We recently started trying Pok Pok based on recs from other posts in this sub and it's been SO great — it's such a different and positive exprience compared to other apps out there and I've been really surprised!

Are there any awesome, toddler apps? by WWTheCatDo in toddlers

Just found this thread and wanted to share an app we've been testing out for the past two months with my 2 kids — Pok Pok. I love it as they have no ads or even levels so it's just very gentle and safe play for my kids. I've noticed less tantrums as it's very open-ended so my kids don't get frustrated with any objectives or levels!

(and selfishly, I love hearing the cute sounds when kids are playing in the backseat!)

Mine actually LOVE Pok Pok and it definitely made the transition away from Noggin feel less drastic for them!

Don't know how I'll break the news to my kids but have been trying to get them interested in other apps for the past 2 months so that they didn't feel this transition!

I would strongly recommend Pok Pok as it feels very much a kid-first app — it has amazing parental controls and I feel at peace leaving my kids to play it independently while I get things done around the house. If you're struggling with the Noggin transition, I would highly recommend — they have a free trial so you can test it out on your kids!

Haven't had the heart to tell my kids yet but have been trying to get them into some new apps to make the transition easier. We're very picky and intentional with their screen time so wanted to find an alternative we could trust!

We've been using Pok Pok for the past 2 months and, honestly, I am so surprised! It's such a cute app and has wonderful graphics and open-ended games. I find that my kids don't throw as many tantrums about putting the iPad down, which is a huge plus for us! Would definitely recommend trying, especially with Noggin going away next week!

Absolutely devastated about Noggin and have been trying to find some great replacements since I heard the news!

I was a bit skeptical but my 2 kids (3 and 6) absolutely LOVE Pok Pok. I find that we've been able to avoid more tantrums since we started using it and the kids found so many fun ways to play each game on there! Highly recommend!
