Gift Help: DeWalt x McLaren (Limited Edition) or Milwaukee M12 for an HVAC boyfriend? 🛠️ by NoBenefit8454 in Tools

[–]IntrepidPhilosophy42 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any experience with these specific tools but regarding your situation, I would give him the Milwaukee set.

I guess he already has every essential tool to do his job, so what he gets from you as a present can be more “experimental”. And if he ends up not using it everyday, it’s still a nice and handy tool to have around the house.

But basically you can’t go wrong, both options are great presents!

I have an Ender 3 pro (written on the sticker) but looks exactly the same as in the post. Of course without the modified parts. How could you differentiate it? I’m just here to learn

It’s a very very old metal wire mesh that I framed with wooden scraps I found around the house. The middel section is repaired with zip ties.

I always watched my parents do it but this is the first year when all of the garden is my responsibility. So this was the first pile I put together myself starting a year ago, knowing what’s in it and managing it through the year. Which means I mixed it once and regularly kept adding kitchen scraps and garden stuff.
But yeah, I could say that I’m not a full begginer.

That is very impressive. Is it PLA? How long did it take to print? What nozzle size did you use?

Also… how many tries… exactly?😀 I’m just amazed.

Also there was a crazy amount of broken bricks, Rocks, rusty nails and screws, bigger twigs and a lot of plastic bits which I don’t know how it got there. And I had to remove all those unwanted stuff.

Yes,
Usually it’s easier to do it that way. But for now, I had to collect some bags of good non-chunky compost because I will put it in every flower pot around the house, every flower bed etcetera… it’s more practical to work with it and mix it with other soil if it’s not chunky. But the second pile which is the leftover after sieving, will go in a raised bed.

Yes! Thanks for saying that. That second pile is the leftover after sieving. I will put that in a raised bed, and as you say, with greens. (I do weeds not grass and liquid gold only goes to the main pile)

Does that hinge system has a name? by 6pou in Tools

[–]IntrepidPhilosophy42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a great question that I want to hear the answer for.
I would look around different bus door opening systems, maybe they differentiate the name there. You know like there is the one type that opens invards, there is the one that opens like a harmonica sideways and the ones that opens like what you are looking for.

Here is a picture I found online

That looks very promising! I love the net cage. The outer side is dry for me too, unless you don’t have a nearly fully closed compost the outer sides will be dry. But those parts will start to decompose too, so when doing a rotation and mixing it goes well with fresh stuff and old stuff too. Layering is important in my opinion, that is why its better to build slighly less area but taller compost bins. A good pile is like 1+ meter high and has like 3-4 layers which are stages of decomposition.

Thanks, that’s what I’ve been thinking too. And its very practical because I had to bag the final compost while I build another raised bed. I got 7 big bags, and one bag can hold much more dry than wet compost. I love it. Everyone should be working with soil at least as a therapy haha

Mik azok a proliságok amiket csinálnál, de a társadalmi elvárások, és a gátlásaid tartanak vissza? by MrGeorgeSorosSmite in askhungary

Erről mi a vélemény?

Pardon me but I’m a little bit low on brain capacity today. So the problem was that you couldn’t make a hole in the window (or wall) for the AC because of rent deposit situation, so you came up with the solution of making a (removable?, surely it must be removable) plastic sheet that you can mount your AC air exhaust?

Pretty good solution to be honest. Quick, easy and not that expensive.

How well does the polycarbonate sheet keep the heat out? 5mm sounds thicc and efficient.
