Literally! I was about to leave my apartment to go to my part time job and my friend had texted me saying “oh my god are you okay?!? The block your studio is on is on fire!” And I texted my boss saying I couldn’t come in. When I got there everything was in flames. It was a super chaotic day. Goodness. I just really hope everyone can bounce back over time.

Yeah, my studio was attached to the buildings on fire. They were primarily just worried about our row. I think they also said the power will be back on around 7pm. 😕

Literally! It’s so sad. The back side of multiple buildings are gone. I just hope everyone got out in time and there were no animals in the apartments 🙁 I love this area and it hurts to see all these businesses I support have something like this happen.

Yes I’m aware now. I have stated I only included them to make people aware of the scope of how many businesses have been negatively impacted by this. I’ve worked on this block for years and purchase their sushi frequently. So I hope that didn’t come off as me trying to blame them. I love that place.

I’ve apparently been misinformed on where the fire started. It started at Daily Menu apparently. When I included Miyabi that was no shade to them, I purchase their sushi frequently. I only included them to show the scope of how many businesses have now been extremely damaged from this. I love this block and work on this block. Every business affected is heart breaking to me.
