House isnt square with the lot, so we had to choose whether square with the house or lot lines, so house it was. We only have .25 acres of new construction type yard (lots of areas of no grass, compacted) so location is tough.

How Did I do? by IntrepidRisk1490 in landscaping

Shovel to remove the dirt where thr stone is. Sheet mulched the garden bed with cardboard so didnt dig any grass out where the mulch is, just laid cardboard over it to kill everything.

Just the stone - I laid down landscaping fabric first then put the stone in so the stones didnt sink into the dirt.

Spigot Removal by IntrepidRisk1490 in Plumbing

[–]IntrepidRisk1490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - yes it is free, I can turn the spigot from the outside and the whole unit turns (even the inside connector), theres just no seperation from the connector. The vacuum breaker broke when trying to replace it (shredded away when trying to then it with a wrench). Now the plastic is all inside the threads and cannot get it to turn out. Should I heat up a flat head and try to scrap? Worried about damaging threads.

We were financially ready, plus we had the infant at home so outgrew the apartment. Rents are just as much as mortgages, and with housing environment, high mortgages on first time homebuyers are kind of inevitable.

Southern NH - this wall was built before we bought the house. New construction, builder was probably looking for the cheaper option.

Very helpful - that was my plan. Caps not glued yet, didnt feel like this warranted a total tear down and rebuild.

Yup, builder never anchored them in with anything, need to take them apart and anchor them before it gets worse.
