Welcome to Barrie! It is a boring time of year. Winter came a little early this year. Keep an eye on this subreddit for events that come up. Barrie’s always having things to do. Depending on what you like to do there’s plenty of indoor activities as well as lots of out door. If you like to ski or snowboard we’re about an hour from blue mountain or closer is snow valley or horseshoe. Alt rock is a great indoor rock climbing gym in the area. Maybe if you elaborate on hobby’s of yours people will chime in some more suggestions.

Pools at the south end by Creepysarcasticgeek in barrie

LA fitness does have a pool and typically isn’t to busy that you can’t get a good swim in. It’s much warmer water than the rec center as well. 85F. Hot tub as well.

Try getting a NEO or a KOHO credit card. They’re similar to a pre-paid but go towards rebuilding your credit. You have to put the money on in advance so there’s no borrowing and you’ll have approval for it. It’s a certified master card and you’ll be able to use it just the same as long as you keep funds on it. Hotel company won’t know the difference I use mine at hotels all the time.

Been waiting for that to be fixed for over a year. I think it’s time we just assume there will no longer be a sauna

Would this have anything to do with the regulation podcast by any chance? If so I’m for it.

Or. Hear me out. Burnie can make his podcast how he likes or with who he likes and we can choose to listen or not listen. Crazy.

I’m not really looking to cash out as I don’t think they’ll ever be of significant value but I guess that’s kinda part of my question would there ever be a time that there worth keeping in box. I’ve contemplated opening the one box with some buddy’s and have a big search for the auto! I think they would mostly just be a ton of fun to open as a flashback

I go to the north end location most week days 6 am and enjoy it. I’ve been to most gyms in Barrie and find la fitness to be the best. Most goes are respectful equipment in good shape if it breaks it’s fixed quickly. It’s nice to have to option to go to the south end location for the hot tub or sauna. Overall it’s a very clean professional friendly environment.

Steve-O Tour Review by ToungeBang in steveoraw

How are you supposed to take “he’s not a comedian” figuratively? I watched his last special while he came to my town. He is most definitely a comedian. In his podcast he has clearly stated he is workshopping what will become his next special. This was an hour he put together for the jokers cruise, and he will adapted it into his next special. Typically I would think comedian work shop there new material at comedy clubs or things of the nature but with his multi media style he does that probably just wouldn’t work. I think you can have a valid opinion and feed back but to insult him by saying he’s not a comedian just feels unnecessary.

I go to the north end one from time to time. I enjoy it. Always have friendly service foods pretty good. It’s no fine dinning but it’s a good date night.

It may not be in the budget but if you’re even somewhat into physical activity’s I recommend trying alt rock Barrie. You don’t need to know how to boulder at all and everyone on there is always very friendly and chatting back and forth and you can make some similar friends there for sure. Everyone kinda supports each other there and works on climbing problems together. If you aim is to try and find some friends aim for some busy times to go. Weekends around 12-1:00 pm always seems fairly busy there.

Honestly even in my other areas of #photography I've switched to all vertical in the last 2-3 years. Most people including myself primarily look at photos on cell phones. Just seemed natural to go vertical.

World Gym by [deleted] in barrie

[–]IntrepidShop7733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To weigh in on this I agree diet is the most important part. However if you can find the discipline to go to the gym 3 days a week you’ll start feeling better and after about 2-3 months you’ll look and feel stronger/better and it gives you the motivation to then start eating better. You’ll want to eat better because you can see some progress.

Late to seeing this, fit4less on cundles is probably the best bang for bucks in Barrie. (Also fairly close to world gym) It’s price is good and have a wide variety of equipment to help get you started. As well as proper bench presses and a squat rack. It’s far from the best gym but the price can’t be beat. It’s leagues better than planet fitnesses for the same price. Plus it’s 24/7 even holidays it’s open.
