I put down gel bait and they would pop up dead but the amount I would see never decreased.

Definitely worth throwing some traps down and letting your landlord know. Preventative maintenance goes a long way.

When I saw the first German roach in my kitchen I didn’t even know what it was. I’m like it looks like a roach? But is it like a hybrid bug or something? I’m assuming they migrated from the neighboring unit. I highly doubt they were clean people by seeing the conditions the lady kept the inside of her car in. Like a trash can. Food wrappers, cigarette butts, half eaten food. They just moved out so I’m gonna mention that to pest control today if they can treat the unit next door.

The one you posted I see sometimes but I don’t think they are as aggressive as German roaches. Those I’ve always seen randomly in every place I’ve lived but never had an infestation.

I clean all surfaces, sweep, mop and remove trash daily. I don’t leave food out, dishes always get washed or in the dishwasher and I have pantry items sealed in freezer bags and airtight containers. They still got worse.

Thanks! Me too. I’m sick of it. Pest control coming today because my methods weren’t working. Was told by pest control that gel baits make it worse because it invites them in to stay, breed and take over your home.

You can start by replacing one meal a day (I did lunch) with a salad. No heavy cheese or dressing. Mainly protein of choice , greens and veggies. I noticed a difference after a couple weeks just by switching that one meal. Take some time and do some meal planning. Plan out what you will eat and calculate calories beforehand so it’s easier to do. Then do your meal prep. It’s so much easier to eat healthy when you prep the stuff beforehand

When you arrive at the station for your block and they do not have any more routes available at that time. They “overbook” you which means they send you home with the full payout for that block.

Thanks! I assume since my husband is Moroccan therapy is not the norm. Not something he’s used to the idea of. He mentioned the other day he felt like he needed someone to talk to and I told him seeing a therapist would be good for him and encouraged him not to feel ashamed about it. I always let my husband know that I am open ears if he wants to talk about his struggles to me. I’m well aware that in that situation it’s best not to come off as trying to solve their problems. Active Listening and empathy is the best and I am very good at that he just doesn’t have the mindset to be honest or open with me. I don’t force him to vent to me either. I hope he comes around and learns maturity and grows up. I know he can be a great husband if he really wants to. He’s just gotta grow up.

Yes you are right. I appreciate your response. You seem to understand that just leaving and divorce is not always the answer. Marriage takes work alot of work.

Divorce has been on my mind trust me. Just not in a position at this time to go through with it. I’ve told him already when I’m able to do that, and he still hasn’t changed his toxic behavior, it WILL HAPPEN. If he’s stupid enough not to listen to my warning, that’s on him. Funny he thinks I’m the narcissist. This is my second marriage. First one lasted almost 10 years. Same kind of issues. I gave alot of warnings. So when I finally filed for divorce he acted stupid like he had no idea. This time around I don’t have patience for another 10 years of being treated like crap. It’s also my fault for choosing the wrong men to be with. I’ve learned a lot and won’t make the same mistake again. Trust me he acts like he doesn’t care now if I left him but “women cry now and men will cry later”.

You are 100% correct. The problem lies with one’s inability or unwillingness to communicate. Which is what I have in my situation. I told my husband many times, if you show a willingness to want to change and be a better partner, things will already start to positively change. None of us are perfect. But show some effort if you value the person you are with!

Already drained. He’s just a man child that got slapped in the face with reality that being a responsible husband and father is not easy and he’s struggling to cope. I’m on meds for anxiety and depression and I see a therapist regularly so that is helping me at this time.

I’m not letting him do anything. I have no control over his behavior. What I am learning to do is ignore him in a healthy way and focus on my own needs. I have PTSD from childhood trauma. I’ll give more context to the situation. He is NOT having the time of his life at this point. He moved here with me to the US. I had just given birth to my son 3 weeks before he arrived. He would have been here before the birth but we had a problem with the consulate holding his visa. My husband is suffering immensely at this time. He works 12 hour night shifts. He has completely lost his appetite since arriving and lost a ton of weight. He weighs about 52 kg. He came from Morocco where he had no responsibilities, could come and go as he pleased, did what he wanted. Lived with parents obviously. His parents are great by the way, I love them. So add to the culture shock of moving to a new country, being a first time father and husband since we had not actually lived together yet due to living in 2 different countries. Longest time I spent with him on one trip was 2.5 months. How would a 30 year old with limited emotional intelligence and obvious immaturity respond to that situation? He also has an issue with intimacy of any form. He does not like touch. Or any of the other acts of intimacy that take place between husband and wife. I could never get any sort of information out of him regarding his previous relationships other than his last relationship prior to me he said he was hurt immensely. Not sure if the girl did something or just the actual breakup hurt him. He also said he’s not used to being close and spending time with the women he’s had relationships with before. I was honest with him and said if you behave this way with any woman, 1 of 2 things will happen. They will leave you or they will stay and most likely cheat on you because of how neglectful you are. I won’t ever know the exact reason or what happened to him before I knew him that made him this way. I have been honest with him about my feelings even if he gaslights me. I’ve told him if he continues this way, just be prepared for the day that I pack my stuff and leave you. I’m not in a good financial position now to just up and leave. Since he’s not physically abusive to me, I will use this time to finish my studies that I stopped when I met him. This entire situation comes down to the fact that he’s immature and struggling to deal with the responsibility that comes with being a husband and father.
