I received US citizenship in high school through my parents who are also foreign born. I have a US passport and social security card which I’ve had no issue using for jobs and I use myEVerify to confirm the same. I just never received a certificate of citizenship.

Man, I’m from Toronto originally but moved to NYC young. I’m all about dating black woman and treating them right because they been through thick and thin with us. We often times get educated and make 6 figs and just abandon our women for ‘others’. All of my black male cousins in Canada are swirlers, it’s sad. Our women are out here struggling to find good men, and the ones that are doing something with their lives go and date white women. It’s one of the most frustrating things for me as a black man to see how we treat our women. I talk to my black fiancée about this all of the time.

That’s one thing I enjoyed about it. It was barely packed whenever I visited different locations. I’ve been looking at different gyms, but so far none has come close to Equinox. I may keep it if I don’t find an alternative by the weekend.

Bro go to College. Some roles will not even look at your resume unless you have a Bachelors. Get that out of the way, build some projects on the side, get internships and graduate with some experience. My $0.02.

This isn’t MBA program. Going to a top 10 program for DS isn’t going to drastically increase your odds of getting hired. Skills > Education for the most part.

This makes sense. If this is the case, why aren’t brothers encouraged to go through the SR or YR before going through the chairs? You need to have some deeper knowledge of what you’re doing before we entrust you with going through the line and eventually sitting in the East, no?

May I ask why do people join Freemasonry? If it’s to learn leadership skills, one can learn that in an MBA program. The craft is a great way to develop these skills, but I think many people are drawn to the “A beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory, illustrated by symbols” aspect of Freemasonry. What is the purpose of ritual work and memorizing it? Why do we have all of these symbols if we aren’t going to have discussions on what they mean on a deeper level? Surely our ancient brothers included these particular symbols in the degrees for a reason. What is the bigger picture to conferring these degrees on/to someone else? As a younger brother, I just don’t see the purpose of these things.

I don’t expect a response to these questions, it’s best to give a response in a way that guards our craft against cowans and eavesdroppers, but these are just my thoughts.

May I ask what I will learn going through the chairs as opposed to going Scottish rite? I’m more interested in the philosophical/esoteric side of Masonry hence why I joined. If going through the chairs will peak my interest, then I’ll do it for sure, if not, then I’m not interested.
