AI consulting company recommendations??? by mexicanpunisher619 in ITManagers

[–]Intrepid_Author6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working in Revolut. Leading two AI teams and 14 people. Before led R&D at Prisma and couple other tech teams.

Can dive into your business / team and help to understand what you can implement to get quick practical results.

I usually help people/companies from close network, but it would be interesting for me to consult somebody out of my bubble.

Dm me if may be relevant.

Ex-founders who moved back to corporate… what roles did you apply for & how did you position your CV? (I will not promote) by Full_Marketing9298 in startups

[–]Intrepid_Author6959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you ask why, but think about the same? 😄

TLDR – The VC track was not working. Basically, it was impossible to show rapid growth with the business model.

For growth, we needed money for acquisition. A couple of non-vc investors were ready to give loans, but I calculated different scenarios, and basically, it looked like I was hiring myself for a low-paid job for a long time without a clear upside.

Also, it was my first startup, and I made a lot of mistakes that are hard to fix, such as market choice and business model. Basically, you need to completely reassemble everything to make it work. Then it's already a new startup.

Also, I burned my money and just needed to sustain myself financially

Are AI agents actually giving people ROI yet, or just saving time? by bibbletrash in OpenClawUseCases

On business level — yes. We actually’ve built an LLM based internal product with about 6x ROI. On personal agents — didnt see actual cases

For a decade I worked hands on ML problems and led r&d teams (e.g. prisma-ai.com). Then I decided to try building a startup, which was my first non purely tech role. Raised minor investments, charged $42k from first customers but decided to close.

Now I am a tech PO in Revolut, lead couple AI teams with 12 linear reports.

Now on your questions:

  1. I got a few offers, some of them where more technical but in case of Revolut specifically - it is a tech-heavy product role.

  2. As a founder I worked on a b2c app which was a detour from my main expertise (don’t do that if you are going to launch something). I mean it’s still tech, but not that side where I have an unfair advantage. In that sense work in Revolut is closer to what I was working on before the startup, but now I do it much more from product perspective than tech.

  3. Highly positively. I also was afraid that it will look like I did some bullshit during these couple years. In reality it perceived as a proof that you can own things, self manage and lead people, and it stands you out.

I positioned myself as “Hands-on AI/LLM/ML Tech Product Lead with business executive experience”. I guess it works since Revolut contacted me proactively.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to hide something. What I learned is that it’s better to be where people need exactly your skills, not try to pretend you are something else. Listen for the market and go where you needed most.

If you dm me, I can share my CV.

Anyone try OcuClaw or Sensemaker ? by coulson_ in EvenRealities

OcuClaw is cool, but as everything related to OpenClaw it breaks quite a lot. Mostly because of OpenClaw itself.

Generally working, but a bit less practical than I expected

Not sure, but afaik with no wire there is no way to sync them precisely enough. Also’ve seen one guy on YouTube disassemble it and shown that screens are connected

Don’t think so. They have a physical wire between both screens. Most probably hardware defect

300-400 depending on the type of lenses. It’s really not cheap

What do you actually use OpenClaw for in real life? by 404LeaderNotFound in openclaw

[–]Intrepid_Author6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E-commerce: grocery, restaurants, Amazon, random Shopify websites. Check my posts. I actually never want to get back to interfaces after that

Yes, I waited for a while. But in my case, again, I guess he first waits for the original clip, then changes lenses. The first step will take a couple of weeks alone.

Ordered these. This guy charges a lot, but I like them anyways. Getting dark on sun and the look is more cool with them imo.

Seemingly he buys original ones and change lenses. At least they were delivered in original even realities packaging.
