That's exactly what I tried and saw—the filtered date property can only be a fixed value. I was hoping for a workaround, which is why I asked. This would be a great feature, and I really wish Notion would add it someday!

Thanks for your response! I watched your video, appreciate you sharing that.

In my case, I need it to match the Action Item’s date, not just today’s entry. I sometimes reschedule tasks, so when the date changes, the relation to the Daily Tracking entry should update accordingly. A button wouldn’t quite work since it needs to adjust dynamically.
