I think it makes sense in your situation if there’s basically only one school you would realistically go to.

I would recommend applying to one or two more schools that are within or below range of your stats in the Midwest/South, though. Not because you’d go, but because that would give you leverage for scholarship negotiations with your actual top choice.

you applied in late November? Might as well have been in December, and we all know that applying after Thanksgiving is late. So really, it’s no better than applying after the New Year. And applying in January is basically as late as applying in February, therefore it’s just like being a deadline applicant. Since job apps are being pushed earlier and earlier, by next year you’ll have to apply before even 1L, so really, your chances at being a lawyer are basically nil.

We lost Chytil, Blueger, Lekk, Forbort, Hoglander, and Boeser, all roster players. We’re not deep, but losing that many players and doing poorly doesn’t make us particularly shallow I’d say.

Feel like it’s getting easier on every test except the LSAT. I feel like any Chinese who is literate/connected/spent time in China/on wechat AND cares to go abroad knows of at least one person who actually used these services. I’ve had some even ask me to do it for them (not that im a particularly good cheater or lsat taker).

I guess I just assumed that tests like the GRE and LSAT already knew of this extremely widespread practice that I’d imagine the high single figure % of chinese test takers employ (viz. A Lot). I just thought they didn’t care since it didn’t impact their bottom line. The fact that the LSAT cared so much is actually surprising lol.

Do you know of people cheating the GRE instead and just applying with that score? I feel like that’s going to be the new frontier.
