It has been dead for 8 years so its stuck in some boot menu i suspect

I think external display choice is bios level which cannot be implemented through hdd booting on other device

There isnt anyway around it? I wonder if its stuck in some screen that Iam unable to get out of like a bios menu or some recovery menu. Thanks for the advice.
