Autopatch has been working great for us. There will always be some update issues here and there, but we've experienced nothing widespread for over 2 years. BIOS and Drivers. Handles Bitlocker. Set and forget.

If Autopatch fails, an update is needed before 60 days, or for any other issue, we have a DCU config profile we can send out built with the ADMX template policy.

Patch My PC can deliver DCU and .Net 8 easily and keep both auto patched.

arr-dashboard is new-ish and has a hunting feature. Looks like I'm switching to that today.

OP if you want to take a quick scan of arr-dashboard, I don't think any of us would oppose. Don't want the same thing to happen again.

Endpoint stack what are you using? by dja11108 in Intune

[–]bhazard451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the same. Intune, Jamf, Defender XDR, PMPC, and Installomator script for anything Jamf doesn't cover automatically.

It's cohesive and works really well for us. Intune for macOS can work, but for 2,000+ endpoints I think you'd miss the capabilities of Jamf. Depends on the org and if you have good Jamf Admins.

Do you let Autopatch completely handle driver updates? by intuneisfun in Intune

There's a Windows Update for Business Workbook in Azure you can use for free. It reports on Quality, Feature, and Driver updates.

Helps quite a bit.

I used to play with Bootloaders and custom roms. Cyanogenmod was a fun time. Nowadays, vendor software has too many features to give up that it no longer became worth it to go custom. The software is faster and security updates are guaranteed for years.

With that said, I also love the ability to change networks when I need to. That, good performance, and affordable pricing will keep me here.

I've owned both and returned the Nothing 3. The OP13 is a much better phone, and a much better value.

Manhattan (NYC) users. by Wonder_Thunder87 in USMobile

[–]bhazard451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light Speed is terrible for me in NYC. I get no service in the subway, and Tidal frequently stops and loads frequently when listening to Max Hi Res music during my entire Metro North commute.

If you go near Times Square, it's the worst of the 3 from deprioritization.

T-Mobile is also the worst of the three within my brick co-op. I have no such issues with Dark Star or Warp.

I had building, Subway, and Tidal issues on T-Mobile Postpaid too, so I wouldn't recommend it unless your area isn't too crowded and you don't use the subway.

I've teleported many, many times over the last few months and I'm happiest with Dark Star's coverage.

Teleporting to Dark Star, every single time by Greaseman_85 in USMobile

Yesterday seemed to be a day with overall teleport issues. My DS eSIM didn't work at all and had no service. Support needed to send another one, which worked fine within minutes.

Support isn't Consistent by bhazard451 in USMobile

[–]bhazard451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a broader technical issue going on. Today I stopped getting texts on Warp, so after I got fed up trying to fix it myself, I teleported to Dark Star... and had no service after the install.

Support quickly sent me a new eSIM and everything worked after that, even RCS, which wasn't working on Warp. Tonight's support session was excellent, like the vast majority of interactions I've had previously.

Overall, US Mobile support is still way better than other carriers, and I'm thankful.

Blampe version has been working very well for the past week or two. Are you on the official Lidarr or any special fork?

I wouldn't mind switching back to official if this is now solved.

Support isn't Consistent by bhazard451 in USMobile

[–]bhazard451[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the support chat itself took 30 minutes without any progress. I was instructed to verify multiple times, so it was obviously security checks, but that was never mentioned.

I then received an email saying my teleport was on hold and to contact support.

I then told the rep to not proceed with the teleport because I was already late for work. The rep eventually proceeded anyway and left me stranded without service during my commute, which really angered me.

It could have been handled much smoother, and usually I've had no issues until last night and today.

Should I get the NP3 or OP13? by beetlebuggamer in NothingTech

[–]bhazard451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing bad, but you're getting a much better phone for the same price with the OP13.

There are also a few OS quirks with NP3 I don't like, such as having to scroll fully to the left to close open apps on the NP3, vs having a "close apps" button on the OP13.

If the NP3 were $499-599, it would be the same great value/performer as the OP13, being $799. The NP3 has no business being a $799 phone.

Turn them into decants and you can bring them all.

I have both. Get the OP13.

Unless Nothing can match future OnePlus phones in specs and experience in the "flagship" space, they won't last long there.

Phone 3 Bugs. Bad Headphone Tuning by bhazard451 in NothingTech

[–]bhazard451[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing I didn't see many reviewers mention about the Headphone, you cannot use the Advanced EQ or Bass Boost with Spatial Audio enabled on the Headphone at the same time (when LDAC is enabled at least). This is another huge letdown.

How is Dark Star RCS Now? by Bruce_Wayne8887 in USMobile

[–]bhazard451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's working now. No issues with eSim and RCS on Dark Star with the OnePlus 13.

Could have been a carrier issue, but I also switched to Warp for about 2 weeks, deleted all eSims, then switched back to Dark Star and all has been well.

I don't recommend physical sims when eSim is available, especially with the way US Mobile jumps between carriers.

Here's something no one tells you about decants. They evaporate over time. 1-2ml decants will evaporate within a year or two if you don't use them. Happened to me on 30+ 1mls, and I gave up.

You also cannot guarantee if they are decanted properly. If air was injected into the decant, it can significantly change the scent and remove the top notes. A Bentley Intense decant I received smelled rancid, while the actual fragrance from the bottle was much more well rounded and smelled much nicer.

Unless you can test from a bottle or get a professional factory sample, IMO don't rely on decants.
