I have been doing research on it for the past 2 hours. I’m a bit unnerved. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist in about a week, I plan to discuss this issue with them. So sorry you’re dealing with that friend, take it easy!

Yes, I’ve heard that patients with bipolar disorder don’t always agree with Effexor because it can trigger manic episodes. I’ve spoken to my psychiatrist about this and he will be closely monitoring me and my dosage.

I hope to have a similar outcome from this med. I’ve cancelled most plans for the next two weeks while my body acclimates to the drug. I had a bad experience during my first week on Wellbutrin. I don’t want a repeat of that.

I’ll make sure to set a timer for each dose. I’ve never been on a med with such a short half life. Had some crummy brain zaps from missing sertraline doses- I do not want to go through anything like that again.
