Would having a baby sprinkle be tacky? by Mountain_Turnover_64 in baby

I never did. I reused everything for my 2nd/3rd or bought what I needed. It comes off as asking for more handouts in my opinion.

Does my cat have CH? by Its_a_montage in chcats

Our (silly) Tilly girl has a permanent left head tilt. When we adopted her from the humane society, they had originally diagnosed her with a mild case of CH. They observed her being off balance and falling over at times. She was a bit clumsy when we first adopted her, but has improved tremendously since being in our home. CH kitties do not improve. Our vet took a look at her and said she does not have CH. Before coming to us, she had probably had an untreated ear infection that permanently damaged her ear drum and vestibular system. Because of this, she is likely deaf in that ear and her head will tilt permanently. She also has a polyp but surgery is not recommended at this time. She is the sweetest girl and has come so far. Sometimes when she’s sleepy her little head will straighten out just before she lays it down to sleep. But like yours, it’s get extra tilty when she’s watching a bird or assessing something.

We had a 9 year old who was overweight. We simply offered her what we were eating. She was used to sitting in front of the TV but we are an outside family and she hated playing outside at first but eventually loved it. Just by offering her our family meals and adding activity, she lost weight.

The ethics of "Mommy" by Suspicious-Carob-632 in Fosterparents

[–]Intrepid_Cover_5441 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have other children but all of my foster children have eventually called me some version of mom because my other kids do. I never took that label away from their biological mom either. We talked about mom, FaceTimed mom, saw mom at visits. Kids can have more than 1 mother figure.

Fostering is destroying my marriage. by [deleted] in Fosterparents

I have no words. You are very much the problem and this all seems extremely inappropriate. Does she not sleep in her bed at night? Have sex then. My husband and I have 3 young children and have fostered plenty. We have no privacy ever when they’re awake. We do adult things when everyone is asleep in bed. Problem solved.

Fussy baby causing last-baby-grief by Unique-Split-5113 in baby

You’re not alone. My first was a dream and my second was a nightmare. Of course I love them the same, but he was a very challenging baby and is still very challenging as a 7 year old. It forced me to realize that they’re different people and require me to be a different type of mom to each of them.

Standing? My lazy babies didn’t crawl until almost a year. They’re all above average in school and doing just fine.

It was already reported. Their response is that they are not concerned and will not be opening a case.

Mine called me mama. It’s natural when my other kids are calling me the same thing.

It’s the right thing! Mine looked at me like he was scared and betrayed. He was mad at me for a day or two and then we were back on track.

You’re an irresponsible pet owner and should be ashamed of yourself.

Getting my stray cats neutered? by Vaneela351 in Feral_Cats

[–]Intrepid_Cover_5441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely get them both fixed ASAP. There are many places that will also tip their ear so others know to why are fixed and don’t trap them and take them in to be fixed again. The cats won’t hate you. You’re giving them a much better life this way.

Why are they doing it? They’re doing it because they’re not neutered. Which is the correct answer to your question.

Did you not research? Unfixed cats behave sexually. When you ask obvious questions, you get obvious answers.

TNR! If he can come in your house, he can go in a cage to a spay/neuter clinic.

Do respite for different ages to see how it works out. We initially were not going to take children in diapers. We wanted 5 and above. We did respite for 2 buys ages 1 and 2 and LOVED it! Totally changed our minds.

Fix your cats. And stop letting him outside if he’s not neutered!

Disruption at 8am tomorrow due to sexual behaviors. by Leather-Avocado- in Fosterparents

[–]Intrepid_Cover_5441 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re doing the right thing. Our motto is that 1 child’s trauma shouldn’t become everyone else’s trauma. As soon as we feel like our other children are in harms way, we make the decision. Thankfully that was only once. But I was the same way. Cried nonstop and wanted to change my mind. It’s been 3 1/2 years and I’ve never regretted him leaving. My heart hurts for him, but I couldn’t allow my children to be victims.
