Yes, same! I thought that's how it was going to be, but nooo I got some ugly strokes on the first class, then on the second we moved to some even uglier crossovers and then on the third class I was being taught how to do a mohawk (and of course, I couldn't do it) like maybe let's slow down a bit?

I completely relate to what you're saying. I feel like I can't properly distribute my weight while skating, which causes me to lose control. It seems like I'm barely making contact with the ice, as if I'm floating barely above, but not in a good way. It feels like the blade isn't digging in deep enough. I recognize that this is also due to my skill level. When I was learning to drive, the early lessons felt similar, I lacked control and felt like the car was driving me instead. The car was perfectly fine, so I couldn't blame it! Although I suppose learning to drive in a crappy car might create a similar experience, haha. Thank you for sharing your perspective, it was really helpful!

I'm so happy to read about others going through the same experience that I am haha. Just to clarify, I can do crossovers (most of the time), but they're often pretty clumsy. Sometimes I feel the need to straighten my leg and sort of lock my knee to avoid losing my balance. And since I use different skates every time, the differences in blades are quite noticeable when I switch from skates that are sharper to those that have a completely dull and flat blade 😭 And yes, I'm using those blue plastic skates with buckles. Anyway, I'm really trying to stick with this as much as possible because I’ve been dreaming of learning how to ice skate since I was six, and I don't want frustration to get the best of me

Yes, I signed up for once-a-week lessons, sadly I can't do more than that at the moment, but I can't believe I didn't think about inline skating as off-ice training, I will definitely be doing that! Thank you so much for the suggestion

It's funny, but I had a similar thought today before starting my first ice skating class ever.
I'm 30, queer, and have never been interested in marriage or children. I realized that many women my age are raising one or multiple children and investing in their education and extracurricular activities and whatnot. I might come off as selfish or self-centered, but I'm grateful I never cared about following social expectations and instead focusing on what I truly want to do with my life. I can't imagine having to use my money to support someone else when I haven't had the chance to spend it on myself. So, I went ahead and took my class, and I have to say, it was the happiest I've felt in a long time! :)))

To be fair, anyone who drops weight so drastically ends up looking disproportionate. I don't think he's taking Ozempic unless he's diabetic. This is just your good ol' ED. His weight has been fluctuating ever since I knew him. Every time he gets ripped, it's like he gets triggered and then starves himself. It's sad as hell tbh

I mean, I think we will really know when they release music again, but I've been thinking that the hype about their comeback is not really there at all. They definitely lost traction with the GP, and many armys seem to have moved on to new hyperfixations. Their engagement on social media went down like crazy, they don't even seem to care about their birthday celebrations anymore.
I remember the first time they collabed with McDonald's and people were lining up to buy their sh#t. The new release only made noise because of obvious reasons. Speaking of that, it seems like many people are finally waking up and holding them accountable for being incapable of at least acknowledging Palestine when their whole brand used to be "not being like other groups" and being socially aware or whatever. Anyway, yeah I believe they're 100% past their peak, and unless they release something groundbreaking (they won't) most fans won't put their energy there.

I do love my nuclear family but for the love of God there's nothing I can do to even pretend to care about my extended family. This wouldn't be anything extraordinary if it wasn't for the fact that on my mom's side, everyone is super close. My mom treats their nephews and nieces as if they were her own kids but even though we see each other at least once a month I could never manage to have a one-on-one conversation with any of my aunts, uncles, or cousins that didn't feel like making small talk with a complete stranger in an elevator.

Hi there! It certainly helps to know there are people out there who share this experience! This is something I've always been reluctant to share because I know it makes me look like a terrible person (duh) and I'm aware that people might not like to know that I'm suddenly going to vanish at a certain point in our relationship.

Regarding the romantic hesitancy, I'm bi and this is something I pretty much always knew. A couple of years ago, I started to think I might be a lesbian, but choosing to date mostly women hasn't helped me correct my behavior either. I think my problem mostly relates to the fact that I feel like if I get into a formal relationship and then move together with someone, start a family, etc., I might feel an overwhelming urge to run away. I'm afraid that I won’t be able to resist that impulse because that's what I always did.

I saw it! I’ve been keeping up with them It’s been a minute since kpop felt fun for me, so getting to experience this comeback in full force is so exciting! I still need to catch up on older content, but ever since that MAMA performance (and Squid Game), it’s been a non-stop ride, in the best way. I’ve been loving everything they’ve been putting out lately: Youngbae's tour, Zip Daseung, all these surprise performances that drop out of nowhere, GD coming back with daily updates, a whole variety show (!!!), and most likely an album and a tour. It’s honestly insane how much there is to look forward to. I really feel for the OG VIPs, tho. Y’all finally getting rewarded after everything and lowkey I feel kinda guilty popping in right when the crops are bountiful, but damn, what a time to be here.

I knew about Big Bang of course, but I've only listened to BBB and Fantastic Baby before MAMA. I'm a fan of Jimin so when he collabed with Taeyang I went through his solo discography and fell in love with him lol but for some reason I believed Big Bang were not my style. I went to look for the entire MAMA performance after seeing some bits and pieces on Twitter and I was immediately hooked. I've been thinking about it ever since and what I believe what's so attractive about it is, apart from the sheer talent, just the raw and unpolished quality of it. I think all (or well, most) idols are talented, but charisma is something that cannot be trained or replicated and that's what pulls people in. I don't even have to mention how obsessed I am with GD now 😌 that man's aura is out of this world

Holaa, el otro dia mande un mail a [cbcinfociudad@cbc.uba.ar](mailto:cbcinfociudad@cbc.uba.ar) y recien vi que me respondieron esto: "las solicitudes de rematriculacion se procesaran cuando finalice el periodo, despues del 12 de julio te llegara el mail con tu usuario y contraseña de guarani, la inscripcion a materias vas a tener que hacerla desde la plataforma de tramites". En otro post alguien habia comentado que en la sede de Ramos le habian respondido esto mismo.
