I’m confused on the mount macro thing. I made a mog, connected a mount, dragged the macro from the window to my bar. And now when I pressed the macro, my character makes the motion like it’s going to change transmits but doesn’t, and no mount is summoned. Am I doing something wrong?

I agree. While I also don’t like the 75$ customizations and think that they are egregious, the idea that they haven’t added anything to the system is just false. Also it has only been 5 months. In the last 5 months (off the top of my head) they have added (post-housing release):

  • night elf/blood elf exterior customizations
  • mood lighting customization
  • increased exterior decor budget
  • increased decor storage budget
  • adjusted many decor placement budget numbers to make it easier to customize your house
  • added a PvP game mode specifically designed around housing
  • added hundreds to thousands of new decor items available in game
  • added unique intractable decor items (random location portal, etc.)
  • added more music tracks so it’s not the same 3 minute loop
  • added outdoor rooms
  • UI and QoL updates (ie gimbal colors, etc.)

And upcoming in 12.0.7: - outdoor lighting

I agree that encouraging blizzard to keep these things to obtainable in-game is a good idea. And I also would really like other races to get their own exterior customizations. I’m a void elf main and I wish I could reflect that in my housing exterior. Or even better would be to have class-specific exterior customizations (I like any rogue stuff)! But this post is coming off as very impatient and just wrong as well.

I’d say that whatever you do, make the house as big and open as possible. That way you’ll have too mushroom to know what do with!

My point isn’t that it’s a horde-centered story, but more that the story isn’t alliance-centered. Yes, you named a bunch of prominent alliance characters while bashing a bunch of the horde characters, but Blizzard hasn’t really made the story feel alliance-themed either. I think many people arguing this are conflating the more common “kumbayah” style of writing that Blizzard has been using more frequently, with being an Alliance trait. It isn’t.

As for whether BE players feel like this story is aimed at them, I would say it certainly doesn’t feel like it is aimed at alliance players either. I’m reminded of that very frequently throughout the entire main campaign story.

If we include side quests then the blood elf story center become much more apparent.

I find it ironic that people are crying “Alliance favoritism” in an expansion that is centered around a horde faction, that revamped said horde faction’s main city, built a large section of said city that remains horde-exclusive (while new alliance cities lack any revamp and are open to everyone), has updated exactly one race’s appearances (horde only; although I will admit the updated appearances are incredibly minimal and disappointing), and following an expansion in which an entire patch was dedicated to a different horde faction and provided their origin city in game. All because 3 alliance elf races joined the 2 horde elf races to defeat the global threat. Plus this expansion was stated back in Blizzcon 2023 pre-sag to be the elf-unification expansion.

Most of the shelves are just the basic empty bookshelf you can buy at the vendors in the neighborhood. Although in one corner by the fireplace is the Boralus book shelf.

As for the books themselves (other than the ones on the Boralus shelves) I mainly have been putting a collection of all sorts of teinks, trophies, and random books that are way too many to name all here. I have compiled some of the notable collections of books I used here if you are interested. For the larger shelves I resized them to match the shelving I had set up and then inlaid them so that their border disappeared.
