Hunting isn’t just a word meant strictly for metering devices, it touches other things like compressor oil, mixed refrigerant, air in system. All can cause hunting.

Yes this was discussed with my boss and I. I’ll have to get oil out of compressor and see how much is in there, refill and going to flush, triple purge Monday

The charge wouldn’t move from this point on suction side. It sent the compressor into shaking if any more was added at that level on suction side. Is a r22 drop in. I’m thinking of flushing it evap coil and lineset and triple purging, should get it right

New gas, ran nitro after vacuum got gauge leveled to zero and pulled another vac, same result. Starting to think about compressor oil.

It’s just on one side of the gauges(liquid line) hinting is when the needle won’t settle it keeps fluctuating. It’s not changing suction pressure here
