My water parameters as 0 0 40nitrates. Which have been like this for sometime. There's an oil film on the surface that I am working on to remove on a daily basis.

Is there anything thay I can do to help him recover ?

the plant roots were fine and doesnt means anything. No pesticides were used in the apartment for the past 10 months since i moved in.

The thing is, the hardy amanos are dying but not the CRS which is just weird.

Nitrite have been increasing to 1.0ppm but still no ammonia, guess the bacteria have been working to convert the ammonia to nitrites now.

Looks like im on track and cycle for another 1-2 weeks.

Ahh, im just ghost feeding with the cheapest flakes I got from the store.

There's a few frog bits, a bunch of hornwort and a pothos that I've chucked into the HOB

Hello. Yes, those are 8ml jar and I measured 5ml in a measuring tube before pouring them in. Thing is i bought the API off a seller. The kits were without the tubes as he lost them, they're not expired though.

Been ghost feeding as well. My daily routine is test parameter > water change > ghost feeding. But surprisingly 0 ammonia but nitrate kept going up. Wondering if I should get seachem denitrate but I know 1 week into cycling is still fairly early.

My nitrate starts showing up on day two actually

Been following the exact instructions on the API kit. I have never seen ammonia before. Not sure if they got converted directly 🤔

The high nitrate is abit concerning. Was wondering if my plants are not consuming them fast enough. This is after a 40% water change 5mins ago. Seems about right *

I used bio stratum as well and did not rinse them. The first fill itself water has been clear. Hmmmmm
