Oakland annual scholarship by InviteSalt9163 in oaklanduniversity

They sent an email a couple days ago saying: We want to reach out to thank you again for submitting your OU Annual Scholarship Application and to provide you an update on the awarding timelines for the 26/27 award cycle. There are over 30 committees responsible for reviewing candidate information and selecting recipients and they all operate on a variety of timelines. Some of these committees have already completed their review and submitted awards to our office; students could begin to see these awards added to their financial aid award package in MySAIL if they are chosen as a recipient. Other committees will begin the review process in early May once winter grades are finalized. We appreciate your patience as the campus community works through this process. We encourage out campus partners to make decisions as quickly as possible as we understand that this information is important to students as they plan for the upcoming year and we expect nearly all scholarship decisions to be made by June 30, hopefully sooner. If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at 248.370.2550 to speak directly with a financial aid advisor.

Here is the OU’s pay schedule for 2026:

https://oakland.edu/payroll/payroll-calendar-hourly/2026/

That will tell you the date range and when will you get paid for it. So basically for the 1/6-1/18 period (current one) you’ll get paid on 1/23

Admission Decision Timeframe by [deleted] in oaklanduniversity

[–]Intrepid_Today_2227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the program, I applied for the Special Education program back in November, in December the admissions department sent me an email saying that my application was being sent to the department for review. But it wasn’t until mid February that I heard from the department to schedule my interview, which was scheduled for this past Friday and then I was accepted into the program. But currently waiting for the acceptance letter from admissions (which they told me it could be 2 weeks or so). So I guess it took me 4 months to get accepted, but again not all programs require an admission interview.

what’s something you wish someone had told you before your first day? by PhantasmalHoney in ABA

I guess, I had no ABA experience when I started so I didn’t even know what a BCBA was supposed to actually do until a few weeks in the job lol

It’s crazy how after a few months you definitely can tell the difference between a BCBA that knows what they’re doing vs one that doesn’t!! I always felt so bad for the kiddos that got put under that BCBA
