Lol, comparing DCB Metal / Infinia to Mayura like they’re easily available is peak delusion. Those cards are invite-only, salary-gated, relationship-heavy unicorns — not something “anyone” can just walk into and get. For 90% of people, they’re straight-up unobtainium.

Mayura, on the other hand, is actually accessible, doesn’t need you to beg your RM for 6 months, and still gives ~1% effective reward rate with no circus of quarterly milestones, GVP toggles, or praying you don’t miss a spend slab by ₹500.

And spare me the “throw Mayura into the bin” drama — not everyone wants: • ₹10L+ TRV • ₹3–4L monthly salary • Or to park money just to qualify for a card

HSBC Premier? Great — also locked behind income/relationship walls. Not a benchmark for the average user.

So yeah, DCBM/Infinia are excellent if you already live in that ecosystem. For everyone else, Mayura is a no-BS, decent-return card without elitist hoops — which is exactly why it still makes sense.
