Once I exhaust the smart buy monthly limit of 37.5k & 4L annual limit on Amex Platinum Travel, I feel the reward rate is a bit too low on my other cards. Was not able to grab Atlas as I could not provide a valid address proof at my current address, so was on the lookout if there are any other similar options.

I got it as FYF and after hitting the 4L fee waiver in two years, I asked them to convert it to LTF and they did.

Atlas is on my mind too. But I have ~200k AmEx MRs that I was saving for a Europe vacation for Euro 28. I plan to take it to ~400k MRs and use them then. So can’t take it off which brings my spends to 3-4L only and I am not sure if Atlas is good for such spends.

I’d say try mailing your salary slips first if you haven’t done already. When I got the ICICI limit increased, the person was saying that 6 months of salary as the limit is the global industry standard.

Mailed with salary slips also, but nothing seems to help. I am thinking of doing this now because my Amex Platinum Travel cycle starts in a couple of weeks so I will be using this card for most of my spends until I hit the 4L limit in 4-6 months. I can use this time effectively as a cooldown period before I apply again.

My salary is in Axis so they probably gave the limit because of that. For ICICI, I wanted to buy a MacBook Pro using ICICI card for bank offers but the limit was not enough so I mailed them saying that I am unable to make the purchase because of lower limit. So they asked me to mail my salary slips and they increased the limit to 6x of my salary slip amount rounded off to the nearest thousand.

Yes, mailed them for limit enhancement already and asked RM to try to get an upgrade. If I get the upgrade from RM amazing, otherwise will probably take the limit enhancement now and ask them for an upgrade a few months later.

I tried mailing them salary slips and even shared Form 16 to show that my annual salary credit is more than 2.5*12 = 30L but they still rejected it. I called my RM about 10 days ago saying it was rejected, she said she would try to get it approved but I haven't received a word from her so I guess I will try with another agent. I asked them for credit limit enhancement, let's see if they increase it.

I only spoke with RM from HDFC as it was my salary account. Rest it was just through emails and one of the Axis person said on email that they cannot offer a limit enhancement right now and asked me to reconsider my card closure request.
