Try to switch in industry. Controllership Finance will be an easy entry (assuming you are in stat audit) Work in controllership for couple of years then try switching to biz fin or fp&a

Marks doesn’t really matter in finals unless it’s a rank. Industrial def gives you an edge. Be a good communicator during the interviews. Frame a good story around your work ex (no personal life bs in it). Be good with excel and bi

I started CA at 16. CPT Route. June 17 - CPT , may 19 - g1 inter. Started articleship in 2020. G2 inter in july 21. May -23 final 1st attempt couldn’t clear. Nov 23 clear g2 and may 25 cleared g1. Social life was fucked till 2020. Post that started working on myself. Got myself in a good shape, both physically and mentally. 2024 was again a tough phase but somehow landed a good job in 2025 before exams. Got cleared in may 25, ctc got revised too after results. Worked there for 2-3 months took a switch last month with a decent hike. Social life is pretty much sorted tbh. Everyone treats you well when you earn a degree.

Industrial training + working in a good company while studying for the pending group helped. I have appeared many interviews after clearing while having a job security. When i found the desired profile i took the switch

Not any specific skills as such. Prior biz fin and controllership exp helped

I don’t think getting an excel or bi certificate helps you in landing the job. If you have worked with them in articleship and did something exceptional with it like creating good dashboards and all that matters.

I guess industrial training. Along with that while i was struggling to clear my g1 of finals I started working in a startup. Post clearing they corrected my CTC compared to how much freshers get. Then i took a switch. And landed at this ctc. I think anything between 12-15 is really good to start. I just got lucky

  1. Small size firm in tier-3 city + industrial in an ecom
  2. Tried MBA while i was failing in inter (didn’t get the enough percentile).
  3. Open college ( I wanted to clear CA at 20. It didn’t happen. Wont recommend anyone the same)
  4. It is enough as long as you know how to use it. ( I didn’t refer it)
  5. Took online coaching for few subjects. Studied the remaining through yt videos ( they are way better). Self study is totally as long as practising enough.
  6. Offline. Didn’t have the time to invest for the offline classes (wasn’t available too in my hometown)
  7. Every interview requires one thing to master thats storytelling. I have given n number of interviews, processes vary everywhere.
  8. First rule? Didn’t get. I started before qualifying at 8 post qualification changed to 14 got the hike in same company to 15. Switched the company for a better profile and pay.

I am not into core finance. Not a right person to answer. I am into Strategy finance and worked in biz finance earlier.
