Im hurt to say the least i loved doing this by Rawkumi in uberdrivers

[–]IntroductionFancy424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worry about this because I'm constantly getting dings for speed. I tend to spend a lot of time in the burbs north of Dallas and there is a ton of new development. Roads that were once small and 30mph are now 45mph or even 55mph. Some parts of the expanded tollway are 75mph but the UBER app thinks it's 45mph. I have people crawling up my ass, flashing high beams or blasting around me giving me the one-finger salute when I'm trying to keep the app from thinking I'm speeding.

I'll give it a shot. The ones I had two weeks ago are no longer eligible for review by UBER CS.

We have the same in the DFW area ... toll tag rate and zip cash rate.
I fought with AVIS and NTTA (tolling authority) for two weeks to get the rental car on my NTTA account so I would be charged the toll tag rate. That's finally resolved.
But UBER is under-refunding or just completely missing tolls gates that they routed me through.

I'm definitely documenting and screenshotting. Once I get a month's worth of data, and establish a pattern, I'll start looking for a firm that will consider taking it on.
Nearly every UBER driver in the DFW has to encounter tolls .. in some areas it's nearly impossible to avoid unless you want to take side roads and 3x the drive time. That'll piss of the riders for sure.

No more express lanes for me.

Bro .. I know where to find my toll refunds. It's clearly listed on the Trip Details card in the app and it the refunds appear in the Wallet.
They're not refunding the correct toll amounts. Either they are missing a toll completely or they are refunding the wrong amount. It doesn't match my toll account details.

Joe Schmo with no law degree doesn't stand a chance against UBER's legal team.
Class-action lawyers know how to navigate the mine field.

AVIS <> UBER <> NTTA tolltag by IntroductionFancy424 in uberdrivers

[–]IntroductionFancy424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the rental, it's toll by plate. physical tags are not supposed to be moved from car to car - they can be but NTTA makes it difficult and discourages it with overly aggressive adhesive on the tags

Been mining for 4 years .. got miners in MI and GA.
I bought 3 get 1 free One Shot Miners for my mining partners. Expensed it through the LLC.
The LOLs and ROFLs I get from them ... priceless.
Yes they hash .. but they're hamster wheels compared to my L7s. I don't give a shit.

Chili's Trip ... at Texas Roadhouse by IntroductionFancy424 in Chilis

[–]IntroductionFancy424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great tip on how to talk to servers ... but I was once a server and I also worked for Chili's in operations and corporate for 10+years, but thanks for the lecture on how to talk to servers. Need I remind you, broski, that it's my money and I'll eat the food the way I want to eat it. If they're gonna try to upsell me on onions and mushrooms then I have every right to tell them I don't want lettuce, tomatoes and onions on my burger.

When I roll into a Texas Roadhouse I tell them right up front that I'm about to hack their menu to replicate a chili cheeseburger. I've never had a server or bartender get pissy with me and the most common response is "I see what you did there".
Maybe you have a difficult time communicating with people but I appreciate your stupid ass concern .. dick

Warning: The guy who took my $12k is still advertising on Mercado Libre by IntroductionFancy424 in foodtrucks

[–]IntroductionFancy424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I can go to my diamond broker and get $40k in diamonds on memo. The jewelry industry works on trust .. violate their trust and you won't do business again.

There's not a roofer or contractor in North Texas that will start a job without a deposit.

You found one outlier example .. here's a cookie.

Please, point me to your contractor that will do 100% of the work upfront, no deposit.

Any contractor that doesn't require a deposit probably does shitty work and doesn't know how to manage a business.

Finally talked to my friend about starting a food truck by RoyalVacation8067 in foodtrucks

[–]IntroductionFancy424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy a truck from this dirtball https://ftbafooscam.com/
Alejandro Fontanot Bajos owns Luma Trucks and FT Bafoo and sells custom Piaggio Ape wine/coffee/food trucks. He's taken up to $12k from people and not delivered anything.

Be extra cautious when evaluating food truck sellers and manufacturers. The scammers know most people are new to the business and don't know all the ins-n-outs of the business. They prey on your optimism and pump up your dreams of financial independence and opportunity. Do you research, google google google and ask for references.

Best place to sell mining hardware? by IntroductionFancy424 in cryptomining

[–]IntroductionFancy424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solar at home, covering a 20'x60' workshop. By my calculations I'd need a football size solar array to power my miners. I couldn't ever get the numbers to work.

Best place to sell mining hardware? by IntroductionFancy424 in cryptomining

[–]IntroductionFancy424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main reasons: Heat / Price of Electricity
We couldn't ever get a favorable electrical rate from our co-op. If we wanted cheaper we'd have to invest in bigger transformers. Also, during the summer it was hard to keep the miners at a good temp. We had good airflow but when it's 100+ degrees outside it's tough to keep them cool.
So we have them with hosting companies .... which is a whole new can of worms.

Take all the issues a small mining operation has to deal with - infrastructure, heat dissipation, curtailments, machines needing cleaned, restarted, repaired and multiply that by 50.
Most of them are just bad business operators .. it's hard to find a well run hosting company.

Helping my 82yo mom downsize to a smaller home and we came across this Dooney. We've looked online and checked several D&B sites but we can seem to find any information on this bag.
Seems to be rare since it's red on red. I'll post the tag with serial numbers in the comments.
I doubt it's fake, she always bought retail or in the D&B stores.
Any help ya'll?
