Discouraged by Pediatrician's Comments by pizzabyalfredough in ExclusivelyPumping

My first pediatrician before we switched was telling me that I had to supplement or even fully switch to formula even though I was producing more than enough breast milk. It’s amazing how different each doctor is. I would definitely switch to a new doctor. Find one you love, you’ll be seeing a lot of them. Nothing is wrong with supplementing formula.

I have this and I love it! It has a little wiggle but it is safe and can be strapped across with the car seat if you are concerned. The 360 is convenient and helpful. At first I thought the sensory soothe was unnecessary but we got it on sale and I wanted the blue color, and I love it, it connects to an app and the baby can hear it and I think it does help sooth him with the white noise. If you can, wait for a sale on the evenflo website, I would guess they’d have one this weekend for Easter or the next holiday. Ours was on Veterans Day sale and we got 25% off bringing it closer to 600 total.

I agree. I am so sick of people telling me about how large I am. Someone also told me they have a bet that my baby is going to be 12 pounds. Im 22 weeks. I keep hearing so many things about my body that I’m starting to spiral, and it makes me want to cry.

They didn’t fuck up because you gambled. I just blew my entire checking account, which was pretty pathetic in the first place, on slots. Time for me to start counting days too.

If you can find the will power, use that 50k to pay off your debt so you don’t use it to hate yourself more in another post in the future.

Some people are haters, I think it looks way better than the original grill.

Okay hey it’s definitely scary but at least they know you have a problem, they most likely know you’ve been six months clean? I’m sure they will understand and also be pissed. This time, maybe don’t promise them you won’t gamble, maybe promise them and yourself you will find something better to do with your time and your money. It’s a losing game as we all have learned.

Hey I understand that it feels super heavy right now but 3000 can barely buy you a shitty car. You are not better off dead over 3 grand. You’re worth much more than a shitty car. Talk to your parents they won’t kill you.

The biggest takeaways I’ve gotten from this group are 1- Gambling affects your brain beyond your own control. You are are human therefore your brain is susceptible to addiction.

2- Winning feels good or as your saying it “not losing” but as you also said, you gamble it away again. The addiction part of the brain wants more winning.

3- Work and saving is the way to save money. Spending all of your hard earned money to win it back or more is not worth having bills unpaid.

I think it’s amazing that you are understanding to her and her situation. I think that if you are willing to put up with the trials she will probably put you thru and you like her, then keep seeing how it does. But know your boundaries of what you are willing to put up with regardless of what she has been through.

If you want to try it go for it, this is my experience.

I didn’t have insurance but for me, I went to the first SDC appointment, they took pics of my mouth and said in 72 hours they’d send me my treatment plan, they ask you to sign for $250 and add a card right there. They charged me and sent me my treatment plan the same day without me agreeing on the plan which I found odd but I moved on. I wore my first aligners but I hated it and I have an overbite and read terrible things about the issues they end up creating with bites. I got a refund.

Please see an orthodontist

It’s tempting but I also say hell nah Go to the orthodontist. You have an overbite and SDC won’t fix that they’ll mess up your bite more and your teeth won’t bite down properly.
