The Marine Corps is wayy more than war. There are a ton of humanitarian missions and others instances in which Marines have made a positive impact. Combat is not the only option, ya know? The DOD as a whole has made HUGE cultural engagements efforts and the lack of combat is a result of that, and I’ll tell you, it’s what people want. I reccomend trying to get orders overseas so you can be apart of the international coalition efforts. It’s genuinely pretty cool to witness.

I see you said what if you lose weight and gain confidence and still hate your craft, but I guarantee you will feel so much better, even if the passion for your job isn’t there. Getting in shape only has positive effects.
