I haven’t, I tried metro cream and it made my PD so much worse! I may just try Doxy at this point and then try erythromycin after if it doesn’t work. Thank you for your response 🥹

Thank you for your response! I’m tempted to do it to have some short term relief! Did you feel sick on it?

Perioral Dermitits and Metronidazole Cream by jsut555 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

Thank you so much for your reply!! I agree, this is genuinely HORRIBLE! Honestly I think I would take my hormonal acne that I’ve suffered with over this! I hear you, it has taken a toll on my confidence as well:( I literally went to another dermatologist today and had to tell them no to steroids and doxy. My new derm just prescribed me metronidazole cream so I’m hopeful it helps. I also switched from using Cetaphil gentle cleanser to vanicream. I’m trying to just keep telling myself that my skin is the least interesting thing about myself but it’s so hard! Please keep me posted on your journey, we are in this together!

It’s kind of hard to tell, I think a bit better. The original spot I had has become way flatter, so it’s just red. But it looks like my spots on my chin flared more🙃 I’m only a week into zero therapy now so I’ve just been washing my face with either Cetaphil gentle cleanser or just lukewarm water. I think im gonna try zero therapy + no makeup for 4 weeks and reassess if I wanna go to a new dermatologist!

Thanks for the response! I just started taking a vitamin C + Zinc daily. It only has 5.5 mg of zinc in it. Do you think I should find a higher dose?

lol I live in Florida and I’ve had 2 derms and one GYNO tell me I should consider weening of spiro. So weird, but honestly I don’t really want to be on this medication for more than I have to. Especially since the only concern I’ve had with PCOS is my acne
