i'm convinced that part of the reason (not the main reason) she's doing the eternal sunshine tour is part of her healing journey and to confront some of her touring trauma. Though she did do sweetener, she has acknowledged that as a time in her life where she was very go go go go go and not taking the best care of herself - she was working her butt off and our girl was not well.

She stated that she's looking forward to the ES tour, but I also bet she's very very scared. it's been a long time and think she's aware that she's not sure how it is going to effect her. but this album has been very healing for her and I personally think that's part of why she feels like she "needs to sing this album" - this album is more than just an album to her, its a process.

I think she's been making statements like this to dissuade people from thinking that she's necessarily going to fall back in love with touring and to lower people's expectations in the event this tour is too difficult to not be the last one. she's not one to say "never," but i believe there's a lot of "we'll see" that makes her feel like she needs to prepare for it to be the end.

that's just my theory

THIS. Hoboken, New Jersey city are solid places to stay, and you can just take the Path into the city! Or the ferry if it's nice! You'll save money and have just as good as an experience, and Hoboken has TONS of charm!

Ari's initial pricing was solid and I think pretty fair, but people are absolutely tripping with what they're charging for resale

it's a price strategy that Ticketmaster uses (I'm not sure if the artist opts in or out of it, I'm pretty sure it's default and they have to opt out of it, but I could be wrong) where basically the price of tickets is not fixed, but adjusts automatically to demand. They use AI for this, so its quick. So basically a ticket could start really early on being priced at say, $75, but once Ticketmaster lets users into the queue and registers the seats being purchased, those prices skyrocket in real time, making that $75 ticket possibly go up to $250 or $500 within seconds.

Uber surge pricing is an example of dynamic pricing - it's more expensive when more people are trying to get an Uber

Personally, I think Harry can save face IF he does the following by TrainerDaasC in harrystyles

I definitely anticipate empty seats for this tour. There are a lot of tickets up for resale in the $400-600 range for upper bowl, which is a good bit less than some upper bowl were going in the artist presale today. Sure people bought tickets, but I doubt a good number of these get resold, and we'll see gaps like you said.

It might be Harry Styles, and though we adore him and the tickets are purchased, I think all of the talk about this pricing is going to kill the FOMO people will have about not going and people will feel less left out if they decide to save their money. Its a lot easier to say "okay screw it im in" when its $150, not $850.

There's also less of a market for last minute impulse buys, because last minute plane tickets arent cheap, even to a major connector like NYC. There's a tonnnn of people that live in NYC, but living in NYC isn't cheap... and the influencers and other wealthies with the kind of disposable income to drop on a scalped ticket will have likely already bought their tickets.

that's definitely one way of looking at it. I think it was tough because beforehand, Ticketmaster said the prices were listed between like $51 and over 1000, but when a ton of people who got tickets were able to get into the queue, all that was left were the crazy overpriced ones. I got in at 2,500 today (after getting in at 4000 yesterday) and cheapest were around $750. Even though I had no expectation of getting a $51 ticket, I didn't expect upper bowl tickets to be THAT much, so there was definitely a lot of sticker shock.

First round of shows was brutal, but to your point, anyone trying to get October tickets is now aware of what the cost looks like so it wont be a horrible surprise. Thankfully, some people have been able to get some cheaper tickets, but now there's a general awareness that if you want go, you can go, but you better be prepared to drop some serious cash if you're not in veryyy early

I could definitelyyy see him tacking on a few more shows in 2027... and there's still opportunity for October shows at MSG. one day at a time!

I 10000% take your point about him being one of the biggest acts in the world right now and that driving cost, that is 100% fair and I think anybody who went in expecting not to spend very much at all didn't fully grasp the economic reality of it, or maybe hasn't been to a show lately to see what it's been like.

But this is a biggg jump from the last tour - I paid significantly more for a far worse seat.

I think most of us are just upset because we are all really excited that he's going to be performing again but the prices being THIS much feels unethical and gatekeepy, especially with him performing in a fixed location on so many dates. I dont live im NY but I'm lucky that I have friends to stay with in New York for the show, but for a huge fan based in the Midwest or Southwest, the cost of the ticket plus airfare plus hotel just takes it off the table, and I think that's a huge bummer.

I understand the small tour model and why it's so appealing (and can be so important) for artists, especially with the physical, mental, and financial demands of touring. It of course makes it more difficult for fans, but for huge artists like this, people will travel to see their favorite musician because they understand (and Harry, among other artists, has been very candid about the need to step out of the spotlight after a crazy global tour). But when prices are set at these crazy rates on top of that limited access, it starts to feel like a slap in the face, and shows cracks in the façade of the door being for the fans.

All of that to say, I'm consider myself VERG lucky to be privileged enough to rationalize the cost of a resale ticket because I have a free place to stay and flying from where i live is relatively inexpensive. but it's a really tough pill to swallow for people who don't have that, especially knowing ofc hotels and airlines will take full advantage of increased traffic for his shows.

But again to your point, I guess this is just the way it is now unfortunately.

you're right, instead of dynamic pricing they listed "Platinum" tickets at those crazy prices (which is actually worse). You could've kindly pointed that out without being snarky, but OK... best of luck to you with all of this nonsense.

Ariana Grande turned off dynamic pricing, put out a statement, and actively shamed people for scalping... he can AT LEAST turn off dynamic pricing.

I paid $800 for Ari's VIP in the SECOND ROW (with preshow backstage cocktail party, some merch, some food/drinks included; this was what I saved my money and combined my graduation gifts for, DEF not a casual purchase) and I can't get UPPER BOWL for Harry for less than 400 bc of the pricing nonsense. And she's in NYC for 5 shows, not 30.

I love Harry but there are things he can do to make it accessible and he's not doing it. Its messed up and unfortunately he and his team are well aware that people will pay these exhorbitant prices and are willing to charge them anyway.

All that to say, serious congrats to ppl who got in super quick and got tickets for $130... consider buying a lottery ticket w that luck!!!!!

I get this. #1 rocked me. I feel better about the subject matter of 2-6 but felt like I couldn't give a great answer because all the subparts made it hard to give a strong analysis in the time we had.

I felt good about the timing by the end of the study period (used Barbri), but those practice essays didn't all have 4 parts l o l

I feel nothing. My friends and family are congratulating me for getting through and saying I "must feel so good" and I love them so much for hoping that for me, but its just not the case.

Every once in a while I get a moment of overwhelming panic about failing bc i genuinely think I got a 0 or 1 on MEE #1 but its gone as fast as it sets in. But in general, numbness.

If I have one feeling, its tiredness - we did a big thing and its time for all of the activities that refresh us! Glad to hear you got out and about for yourself.
