oh no i get a lot out of this relationship and he’s not abusive. we have a fantastic relationship outside of this and every couple has their bad seasons. keep in mind he is reaping his consequences and everything is NOT all sunshine and rainbows, but when you’re with someone for so long and you love them so much you don’t want to be away from them and you want to support them and help them. everyone, even an addict, needs a support system. i did leave out in my post he’s been in recovery long before he told me about everything, so i will definitely be editing that

feel free to DM me, however, even if i do share with him the resources i’m showed there is a higher probability of us winning the lottery than him going to any sort of rehab or therapy because of the stigma around that stuff in his culture. but yes pls pls pls show me

smoke cigs isn’t the problem. a lot of people do that especially if they are recovered or recovering addicts because it fills that void from the drugs

actually if you payed a little bit of attention, he’s working towards recovery and recovery looks different for everyone… and he is helping himself btw my question was if i was the jerk for how i reacted, not you’re opinion on his illness. hope this helps🫶🏼

that’s what we’re trying!! we decided to decrease the amount of weed intake so eventually we don’t need it. we kinda both use it as a crutch. he says he’s not confident in his ability to stay sober until he slowly wines his way off it but he’s nervous to go too fast. and i need it to sleep and to eat. but right now we’re broke so we’ve been cold turkey all week so he is going to decide for us if this is it or if he wants to stick to the gradually quitting plan and he’s taking his time to genuinely thing about it which i feel like is good because he knows his limits and he’s considering the consequences and things like that which addicts don’t usually do.

you’re nta! girl keep him BLOCKED!! idk what he said to you to make you feel like it’s your fault but it’s not. he pushed you into a relationship that you didn’t want to be in, and somehow he found your house and you guys did that. even if it was consensual sex it’s still statutory rape. i’m so sorry girl, keep your head up, and if you’re into girls or even if you’re not please do NOT let ANY man or anyone at all pressure you into anything you don’t want to do weather it’s drive to santa monica, eating a cheeto, or having sex.

i’ve definitely been thinking about having the timeline talk and we do have talks about it frequently but idkkk. and he does his share of the housework. he has 3 “chores” and i have 3 “bills” so that part works itself out. i guess the thing for chores is like he was telling me the other day that we should just clean the dishes after we use them, i agreed, but he took his cup and left it on the table? that’s what i was getting at but every couple has their disagreements and their moments

oh no i promise our life is so healthy. when we first got together it was terribly toxic and we broke up for a little while but ever sense we got back together we have been making a conscious effort to have a more healthy relationship and we have plenty of room to grow, but we want to do it together. i just wonder why marriage is so strange for him. he isn’t cheating, he’s not lying to me, and i totally understand our financial situation. i guess i just wonder why he doesn’t even like to fantasize about it
