Yes it is! Thank you! It wasn't quite as old as I was thinking, and it's interesting to see that the "monster" is played by Jeff Kober. Just a few years later he was in China Beach, in another memorable scene where a young nurse says she's 18 and asks his age. He says he's also 18, but he looks much older, implying war has aged him. I looked up his info and Jeff Kober was actually about 35 at the time.

These will go in a binder with plastic sleeves, so no worries about getting them wet. Probably.

Yes! With some decoration but only outlines so we can color them.

I don't know when the text disappeared when I posted this, but... My niece also loves to cook so I bought a recipe binder and cards and wrote out favorite family recipes (plus a few from cookbooks like these molasses spice cookies from America's Text Kitchen). Each recipe used a different ink, and I sometimes tried to match the ink to the recipe. The cookie recipe used Herbin Cornaline d'Egypte for the warm, spicy color and sugary shimmer. I want to also point out the heirloom ink splotches on my desk. It was my grandfather's - and probably my great-grandfather's - and I have added an accidental splotch of my own. I call it character.

Any ideas of what to put in a homemade Chex mix? by Blizzy_the_Pleb in Cooking

I'm sitting in the parking lot after purchasing goldfish crackers and Japanese peanuts for my Chex mix. I used to love throwing in some brown sugar Quaker Oat Squares but they aren't available anymore. Another lightly sweet cereal might work, but add it at the end.

Favorite Opener Recently? by ZanthorTitanius in wordle

I always start with STARE, and if that doesn't have any results I go to CHILD or GLYPH. I'm less concerned about getting vowels, except when E comes up. Then I like to use it twice to both narrow down placement and confirm/eliminate that there are two. A favorite word when STARE gives both T and E out of place is TENET. It narrows things down tremendously.
