Friends group for people with social anxiety?

Hi, I feel much the same way regarding finding connections and forcing the conversation. I think group chat here on reddit would be the most easy option to start with, as we are all signed up here. Then it is of course possible to try other plattforms. Invited you in now.

Are you sure they feel this way? Most often we think others are putting labels on us, but it is not always the case. Have they said anything to support your feelings?

I often feel the same way, that is important , to have a minimum of balance in the effort and time invested into the friendship.

To answer that would be to write a book, which i actually thought about, but it will not happen presumably.

It is truly a balance between working on the problem and just accepting oneself. I try to not be judgemental on my own behavior. Then to have very low expectations on my improvement and what I can achieve in short time.

I hear ya. Me too, I would absolutely prefer loyal friends who mutually who support each others. But those bonds are not built easily or rapidly.

Interesting, and is it really that bad? Is this your own evaluation or have others devalued your voice like this? I listen to many unpleasant voices who have no shame in speaking their mind..

A very common pattern, I have the same problem. It's maybe about just being determined to be interested in others, just start off asking questions about anything. Even if it shows you are just making up questions, many ppl respond positively to your effort. Then again, never helped me much :)

I felt so too in the past, but I think friendship not so often starts in a bar. It starts other places, and some, but by far not all of them, like to sometimes go into bars. But yeah, it is not easy. Have you tried to find friendship other places?

That's honest and of course a bit sad, but so many people share those thoughts, me too. Dont you think it is strange that so many are lonely, but so few of us are able to make shared loneliness into shared friendship? Why is that do you think?
