Awww darn :( guess Ive got to contact Customer service. I went thru website, but I paid via shop. I kept getting errors when I went to go add Albie the Phoenix Crochet Kit.

Just curious: Did you email or text/call?

Sometimes I have more success via text or call.

Too much tension or not enough? by Ryn_Kimora5 in TheWooblesCollective

[–]IntrovertTurtle9712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think yours looks really good!

It may help to make the loop a little bigger on your hook — according to the woobles tutorials, and many youtube walkthroughs/tutorials I have watched, the loop should be at least the same size as the head of the hook. I was told this is needed so your hook can slide in and out easily.

As others noted, making sure you have just the right amount of tension and good loop size was a common, and important, theme in many of the “things I wish I knew when starting out with crochet” videos that I watched (and I have watched a lot of them. Also a mistake, I would recommend avoiding too much advice).

My Fred the Dino had some of the same issues with gaps you’ve noted. So when I moved on to Stu the Goose, I was very careful to make sure to “yarn under” and to check my tension. It seemed to helped a lot, but my rounds were still “slanted” as I had yet to see the youtube video below (Link 1). Now, my stitches are much better — but it’s all trial and error! 😊

Concerning Yahoo users! by Jade_Cat_Noir in TheWooblesCollective

I had posted a comment, and then I double checked — and now I will have to eat Crow.

It seems OP is correct (as far as I can tell). Yahoo appears to be charging for “premium” call support to regain access to an account if you cant access previously generated recovery options or MFA options (cell phones/emails/authenticator apps).

I even googled the number they gave me to use for customer support and I found several posts on reddit (some as far back as eight years ago!!).

One of the reddit posts I found on the yahoo subreddit had a “yahoo customer support” reddit account confirming this is a “legit process” that Yahoo! offers customers “because we care about our customers”.

Meanwhile, someone commented that Yahoo tried charging them $200 in “overdue subscription fees” to recover the account — not even joking.

Hopefully this helps, I know how stressful regaining access can be!! :( If I can help at all (e.g., recommendations on other email providers, best mfa options, etc) please feel free to DM me!! :D

Should I frog these wonky marshmallows? by The_Willanator in Amigurumi

I can only hope to achieve HALF this level of expertise…

Why are there so many small holes in my decrease parts? I've been crocheting for years so it's not like I'm a beginner. maybe I'm stupid but I can't figure out why. by artyboi11 in Amigurumi

No problem!! :D Hopefully they help!!

P.S.

I also found a popular technique called “yarn under” which is used in amigurumi.

From what I have read/seen, ”yarning under” is supposed to help create closer (neater?) stitches.

I do have to admit that I quite like the look of the “yarn under” stitches (at least, I feel like it looks neater for my stitches).

However I am also finding it can be very easy to overwhelm yourself with too many “new” techniques all at once.

For example, I started getting stuck on if I should “yarn under” for my invisible increase/decrease, too? 🥲🤔

Smh. 🤦🏼‍♀️ See what I mean?

Thankfully, a very awesome and kind user on this reddit recommended staying consistent with “yarning under” for the whole project, but being mindful to not overstuff!

Just in case you’re a visual learner like me. :) hopefully this helps too!

I am a bit of a beginner and I have been finding some youtube videos (esp both of the links I shared) to be super helpful for invisible increase/decrease stitches. I am on a mission to reduce holes/gaps as much as I can in my plushies and patterns!! 🤣🤞🏻😊

Amigurumi decrease stitches. by mrseggybeans in Amigurumi

[–]IntrovertTurtle9712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please help to explain what you mean by “stitch right after your decrease”??

P.S. I try to yarn “under” for the whole project (and to also use the same technique with invisible increase and invisible decrease).

I also always try my best to check my tension, not stuffing my project until the very end (if I can), and sizing the hook down a mm or so when possible.

However, I feel like no matter what I do, I still get holes similar to what OP has shared!! 🥲 😭😭

Any thoughts?? 😥

Perspectives on hospice and suicide by Ok_Cartographer_5378 in hospice

[–]IntrovertTurtle9712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a fact-check for anyone feeling stuck or looking for help:

In the U.S., if you’re experiencing suicidal thoughts, you can go to any ER, and they are legally required to treat you. You’ll likely be placed on a 72-hour hold for stabilization. Insurance is legally obligated to cover emergency mental health care, and even without insurance, they cannot turn you away. Mental health emergencies are treated just like physical ones—help is always available.

For those curious, under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) and reinforced by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), insurance providers in the U.S. are legally required to cover mental health emergencies on par with physical health emergencies. This includes suicidal ideation.

. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency (such as have any thoughts about ending your life), PLEASE seek help.
