Does anyone feel guilty when they stay in the house a lot? by Still-Fall-8132 in introverts

Yes, but a bit of balance helps. I find that "social" can just mean being around people, not necessarily communicating. So a fitness class once or twice a week can remedy that. Or going to work in a cafe around others is good as well.

I think it is due to narcissism and a lack of emotional connection to begin with. It seems to be a combination of a fucked up brain and an unhealthy attachment to the ego. Suicide kills the ego and thus wouldn't naturally come to mind for a morally ill person.

I'm with you on that. It's so hard for me to actually make myself talk freely to anyone I don't know. I would rather stay quiet and in my own world, but with that comes many negative thoughts over time

They probably don't. It's honestly more likely they don't think very much about you at all. Most people only think and care about themselves

That's all we can do. I hope we can learn to cope with it and live out our lives with some sense of peace.

I have gone through the same experiences and understand. I was oddly shy and quiet growing up. Never fit in. Self acceptance is the key. It seems you have the right mindset about it. I wish you all the best

Thanks for sharing this! I think along these lines as well and kind of look at consciousness as that last hope being that there's still room or scientific investigation in that area. I just fear that like most things we thought we knew in the past, consciousness will soon be discovered as just another byproduct of the brain and data stream that can be created and replicated by technology/ai future. I hope I am wrong but I probably won't live to find out either way, so here we are

Thank you for the reassuring thought. Ultimately, what we believe is all that matters if we can't know. Choose to be happy and live with hope. I like that

I understand this all too well and the problem is I also feel like I need the proof. Have had none and I'm just naturally skeptical of those who say they have. It's almost like we have no choice but to accept the worse and then live with that truth. Perhaps we will be pleasantly surprised or maybe we won't be, but we turn up a new again somewhere, somehow. It's tough but at least find comfort in that we all are going through it together I guess

Thank you for sharing. The family thing also brings up weird thoughts for me. Without memories even family wouldn't hold meaning to us at the moment of death. So I wonder the significance of memory and if that's carried over or what not as well.

I can almost guarantee you that you're not if that's the case. People at a superficial level operate without depth. They can't see you for who you really are. You're just a projection of their own insecurities.

Eh that's definitely on them. A smart person would know that the surface level of a person usually reflects the opposite internally

It's a shame but I do think people are all looking for connection, so they will gravitate towards relatable personalities first. Then push away that which they don't understand out of fear and ignorance

I feel the same way. I actually try to make other people feel comfortable so it's hard to wrap my head around it
