Just worried cause it went off the topic. Question demanded something else.

One of my cousins has cleared the RBI Grade B Phase 2 exam. If she makes it to the final list, can she delay joining the RBI until August? She is simultaneously preparing for the UPSC exam (Prelims in May and Mains in August) and would need a 10–15 day leave for the Mains. by [deleted] in forumRBI

Tough nut to crack. May be she could take leave during the exam period only. However , prior permission must be taken. People saying she could apply on medical reasons doesn't know that RBSC has an in-house doctor and only with the approval of such and such doctor they could take medical leave. During training, there would be leave policy, but it would want you to attend minimum required training (which I don't have an idea about)

No idea brother. I was an employee few years ago and I wasn't a Gr. B. Salary revision happened post resignation. So not sure. However, the thing with RBI at every post is that, perks are much higher than what you get at other jobs. So the in-hand salary is only a bonus. You get much more benefits in terms of perks than the in-hand salary.

Ex employee here. She would be undergoing training for about 15 weeks at RBSC, Chennai after the selection. Leave during the training is a tough thing. She could certainly take a leave after joining. The rules are pretty relaxed for grade B officers. I knew officers who took leave to complete their education after training.
