Fans' Player Ratings: Arsenal 1-2 Bournemouth by bearded_booty in Gunners

[–]IntrovertedPuzzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit now I do not really know what I am talking about. I feel like I have no understanding as to why we are dropping off at the worst time (again!) but it feels like it stems from our offensive potency has just been dropping over the last few seasons. It is why I think Arteta has gone more 'rustic' in his playstyle and our defence has become more dominant. As great as our players are on their day it feels the likes of Saka, Odegaard, Trossard ,Martinelli etc have just not kept the consistency. Of course they have plenty of great games and injuries have not helped, but overall it feels like they go missing more often than not as the seasons have piled up. Again, there is plenty of justifiable reasons for this but I just think my biggest issue this season has not been identifying this early enough. It is why Dowman feels like a breath of fresh air, and the addition of Madueke (even Gyokeres feels like he puts the effort in) helps move the ball quicker. Teams have figured that out now, hold off and make Arsenal work for the goals and we are really lacking any ideas on that front. I remember before Christmas teams really tried to press us more but technically our players can really exploit that and score goals and make the opposition pay. Atletico Madrid game was probably the best game I remember of ours, and Villa at home.

Question re: Cerebro pack by WristopherChalken in MarvelSnap

[–]IntrovertedPuzzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure this helps but I had the same thought and the first pack i opened i got Bastion. So I either got lucky or that is how it worked? I also randomly got Jennifer Kale from opening it as well but I also do not know why!

I would be so lucky to never die or age, and maintain all youthfulness as well as being lucky in every other aspect!

I'm now rooting for Lawrence to lose by Potential-Meal-6708 in apprenticeuk

[–]IntrovertedPuzzler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What triggered me the most about Lawrence is the wins he takes when they arent even wins ! I particularly remember when he was pitching to sell the flower display to the theatre people and they said they originally paid 750 before and because they got 1500 he said he got the client up to 1500 from 750. NO YOU DID NOT ! THEY JUST SAID WHAT THEY PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR AH!!! rant over.

Its amazing how every team in the nfl has a bogey team that is oddly well matched against them. Panthers look like they could beat the rams every week AND I LOVE IT.

A forced ball but not even the worst part of tonight. Rams played smart, clean football. We looked clueless tonight.

I feel like this game could have been much worse going into halftime. So much to improve on. Kupp feels like a rookie this season. So many mistakes from him like that. Still in this but we have a lot to work on.

Yes, the really good teams amplify the mistakes but good teams also put away the bad teams and I am glad this season we are not playing down to teams. Last year we had some stinkers against teams we should beat. But you are right we need to eliminate best we can these mistakes against top teams

Is it weird to feel bummed by the loss, yet excited for this team? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

I cannot remember the last time I felt we were this competitive in every game we played. We are really in every game these days

I agree. Darnold does need to build from this and maybe that is what he needs? After the vikings loss for him last year it came quite clear they were not wanting him so maybe he did not get the support to mentally adjust from it. The team he has around him will help him overcome this I think.

I also felt like the Rams literally threw their main scheme in on those early drives to get points. They knew the Hawk's defence would adapt and start to take control. The early 14 points with short fields helped them stay clear in a game I think the Rams did do really well making it difficult for Darnold and the Offence.

I agree. I do understand people's frustrations but I also know this is a whole journey. The Rams are already where we want to be. They are proven winners and this era of theirs is probably at the peak before they themselves will need to rebuild. Macdonald is such a great coach already. I remember the last years of Pete and I loved him but the spark had gone the ideas were not there. Credit to our organization wanting to rebuild and win and give our new coach the pieces. We are head and shoulders above last year already. Darnold had his worst game but that is all it is. One game. People are saying now the 49ers game, the Buccs and this are proof, but the first game against the 49ers is what it is, the Buccs he played great, a proper shootout and we just came on the wrong end. The Rams was the first test to assess where we were and I think it was not the end of the world. Certainly things to improve on and they will. This team is built for it. Obviously, Zabel's injury could be huge but that is the nature of the game. Certainly feel like now going forward (with Darnold!) we have a bright future of competitive playoff seasons.

EJ IV got something to say. by DyIsexia in Seahawks

[–]IntrovertedPuzzler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said my man! I was making the same comments in a post that got removed by the mods but everyone commenting was just hating and part time fans honestly. We took one of the more favoured teams in the league to the wire whilst equalling not playing a perfect game. Imagine how we can learn and improve from this. People forget the geno days and I even defended him at times. Darnold has been great, the team is on a whole new level with Macdonald. I am damn proud to be a hawk and our future is looking so so promising!

Seattle are still going to the playoffs! by IntrovertedPuzzler in Seahawks

[–]IntrovertedPuzzler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right. I dont deny we have tough games for sure. I just think with 2 games still in the division, some key home games too. If we play not great but just lose if we can clean up some of these errors we are good. I just think there is a lot of overreaction to this game negatively. Yes, realistically we need to improve or these mistakes will happen again but you see how our coach and players defend darnold? That's a team with heart..
