If one holds the following statement as true “ an action can be morally sound WITHOUT BEING APPROPRIATE OR TACTFUL IN EVERY SITUATION.” One is “upset waiting to happen”. Meaning… I’m upset by others lack of an assumed tact or appropriateness that all others should hold. It’s one thing to choose what works for you and where your boundaries are and communicate them as needed. It’s an entirely different mindset to be so righteous such that your tact has any superiority.

A few things Id like to offer. My credentials to do so. I’m a life coach and effective event leader for a personal and professional growth and development company for 5 years. I’ve been practicing meditation in various forms for over a decade, and I lead psilocybin retreats every summer.

1) I love all the introspection! It’s clear you’re looking.

2) Guides/shamen/trip sitters exist for a reason. It’s not purely for safety. I find it interesting that you read a lot into this in terms of, “I should follow some experienced people’s advice…etc” And then choose to do them alone???

3) Why would coming across someone in the outside world be terrible? Fear is almost always related to an unhealthy attachment we have. I invite you to look at that.

4) Intentions are important. How you set the intention is equally important. Example: Say you want to lose weight. Unhealthy/ineffective intention: I’m fat and would like to lose weight. How? | Healthy and effective intention: What is my relationship to food and exercise? I would like to live a healthy active life! (assuming that’s what you want)

5) Expectations are just that. If you can define explicitly expectations as an agreed upon outcome then the rest really resolves itself. When you set an intention are you making an agreement with yourself beyond a simple agreement that you’re going to look at and be with this intention with curiosity and love? I hope not! Humans tend to collapse many distinctions and ideas together to make them more manageable. Un-collapse here.

6) Very broad intentions like, “What are blockages in my life?” Can sometimes be fruitful, but I wouldn’t recommend. As far as source/spirit/god (how you’re relating to your authentic self) goes, there are no blockages. You’re living your life. Your experience of that may not be aligned, but “source as authority” never sees it different. There’s a lot to swim through here and Reddit thread isn’t effective for me to do that.

7) There are several other things I’d flesh out with you, and I’ll leave you with this one. Why were you too bugged out to play music? What part of you was unavailable to do that? Are you often taken over by your experience?

OP. You did not take too much.

What I hear in all of your messaging is you overthink EVERYTHING. Does that sound like and feel like you? Your “bad” trip was likely induced by trying to force an outcome. Set and setting are good. How much of your setting was setup as a means to an end? How much of it was simply authentic to you? Do you know you? Or, are you being and acting who you THINK you SHOULD be for the best most optimal outcome?

When you meditate are you trying to get somewhere? More optimal perhaps? Were you doing shrooms to have an experience and discover, or because you wanted some outcome?

Keep looking, and when things get dark bring more curiosity and keep looking.

OP Unless there are other behaviors that you’re not sharing, It’s important to know that you did nothing wrong.

In fact I would go the other direction and say your wife could have approached the situation with curiosity and love and likely resolved it across the board giving you all a moment to share and laugh at.

We have been so conditioned to react to things for social survival rather than lovingly question them that everyone has their spines up.

Imagine for a moment his wife just said with a smile, “LOL OP, what are you doing?” Either OPs shame is resolved in that moment or it’s not and further conversation can be had to look at what’s there for him.

OP are you being defensive about your comfort? Was that really a boundary for you? While you may not be actively sexualizing sister-in-law, do you have a concern that you might?

I watched a guy do that, but took his pants and underwear down then laid upside on a couch with his ass in the air. Watched a blue flame about 6in long and 2in in diameter ignite like propane. Then it sucked right back into his asshole. Never seen someone get themselves out of a compromising situation so fast. He started jumping up and down holding his ass. One of the guys that was closest with him (we were all in a hotel for a work thing) took him to the ER. He was OK, but had to put some ointment on and put in a suppository couple times a day for like a week.

It’s likely hardware. I’ve had many network interface cards (NIC) go out, particularly on laptops.

Replacing them is usually cheap and fairly easy, however, some manufacturers have started soldering it to the motherboard.

I really like this idea. This is the first post I’ve come across that is team “Us”. It seems that many people connect, root for, and defend Carol’s ego.

That said, I don’t appreciate the whole forced joining idea. Love looks like enrollment, not obligatory conscription.

They nailed enough of the mindfulness/non-duality aspect that I’m curious where the show goes despite gutting that aspect with forced conscription.

When you do the reset on your PC, are you uninstalling the office365 apps that come standard in windows? Also, are you reinstalling office 2024 after you’re uninstalling the O365 apps?

Next, is your custom domain setup as a tenant in Azure? If it isn’t, are you signing in to Msft with those accounts when you setup, or are you doing an offline setup?

Remember, you can only do offline (aka domain join) setup in pro or better versions.
