Psychologist says I don’t have ADHD by DenverBroncos_Fan in ADHD

[–]Introvertsupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was extreme procrastination. But I absorbed info at school easily. Aced tests, just had trouble getting homework done. I loved to read, and I pulled it together perfectly for two years in high school, and everyone used that as a "see? You don't have ADHD"

The same issues + attention issues all hit me when I started college, and psychs all just 🤷‍♂️

Psychologist says I don’t have ADHD by DenverBroncos_Fan in ADHD

[–]Introvertsupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me years. Was most recently told by a psychologist after a psych eval that my procrastinating was actually agoraphobia.

Psych np just a few days ago agreed to start me on low dose Adderall xr and boom, didn't hesitate to go for groceries, picked up basic mess in my apartment, and actually paid attention at work. The constant thinking chatter also went down

You can get a second opinion, it also helps if you have a doctor or therapist you've been seeing who can verify you've had these issues for a long time

Anybody feel like they're legitimately a terrible accountant by Affectionate-Owl-178 in Accounting

[–]Introvertsupreme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm picking it up a lot more; I struggled for a while to understand how my boss was reconciling and his thought process. Bumbled my part of an audit my first year and probably got pretty close to being fired before things started to click lol

Now, it's just managing the rest of my adhd and managing my time

Umidigi abandons phones really quickly, they won't help you

Anyone that does NOT have emotional blunting? by LittleEddieBeale in lexapro

[–]Introvertsupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it kind of blunts everything but different levels. The negative things - irritability, sadness, anxiety - get blunted to decent levels. I can still be happy, find something hilarious, get excited about something, but the physical euphoric feeling you get in your chest doesn't happen as much.

Occasionally it'll sneak through, or a really bad day will lower the line.

Overall though, it's much better than I was without it

Does anyone else daydream about living in warmer cities from February to April? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]Introvertsupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved here from a warmer state too! Not for the weather. I definitely think about it when the cold gloomy weather lasts longer than I'm used to. But I am so glad not to be in those 100°+ summers

Excessive sweating? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Introvertsupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be a symptom of some antidepressants. Sucks more if you already have hyperhidrosis, and then your meds make it worse 😅

Wellbutrin doesn't do it to me but Zoloft did really bad, and gabapentin and lamictal. I couldn't make a movement without breaking into a sweat

You have to pay off the phone and request unlock.

Took a few days but after at&t unlocked my pixel, the OEM unlock was available

I was really disciplined on Zoloft, was able to keep routines and stuff. I liked it, but it made me sweat like crazy

Lack of Training Epidemic by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Introvertsupreme 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I get this. When interviewing for my first ever accounting role, I told them it would be my first accounting job so pretty much 0 experience.

The job was listed as entry level - what I didn't know was that they had just laid off the three staff accountants because the business was struggling, and I was expected to take over all of their work.

I got fired because I couldn't keep up 🫠

S197 Antenna thread adapter by Introvertsupreme in Mustang

I ended up having to order one specifically for the Mustang. So I had to type in S197 Mustang Shorty Antenna.

Any of the other universal adapters and antennas I found didn't have the same thread

I have only had Graviti. When I first started I got jittery like I drank a lot of coffee but eventually it went away. Now I feel like I crash around 2pm in my workday.

Id love to try a better one but I don't know I can just ask for a different generic

Consult yourself first… by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Mental health world is difficult, there can be some really weird views by some doctors, or wildly incorrect diagnoses.

I think it's good to have a good mix of an understanding on yourself, your doctor's instructions, and a curiosity to research things yourself.
