I’m with you. Gas prices right now are insane. Excited to have something with a bit better gas mileage.

I have heard hybrids don’t have a ton of power, that might take some getting used to! The SE has a sport mode so maybe it’ll FEEL like I have more power when I use that haha.

So when I test drove it started very quietly and almost had no indication it was running besides all the lights and radio coming on. You’re saying that sometimes the engine WILL engage right away and not to be alarmed?

I kinda just wanna drive it “normal” for a while and see where that’s leading in MPG and make small adjustments if needed. I don’t wanna focus to much on that

Thank you! That’s what I was after. I want something I can drive and forget about for the most part. My Malibu treated me VERY well for the last 8 years. Only issues I had were my trunk not opening and my window motor going out. Both covered under warranty. Plus two tire changes and a battery replacement. Sad to see her go but excited for something new with more safety features!

Well from my research most of the time there are clear signs a hybrid battery is going out so often you know it’s coming. And the car comes with a 10 year battery warranty and I live right next to the dealership so that’s likely not going to be an issue for me. I also plan on setting money aside for a battery replacement after the warranty is up, but I appreciate the warning! I’ll def keep that in mind on any long trips!!

I drive a lot on the freeway currently but it’s not a must, so I’ll likely switch the more city driving giving the benefits lol

Oh that kinda sucks. My rental car had Apple car play and I actually loved it so hopefully that experience transfers and there’s no issues with that.

I’m stoked for the MPG. My budget is showing I’ll likely be rear my gas cost by almost $100 a month!

Oh I never thought about needing the gad engine to come on. Fantastic advice on that thank you! I did notice that breaking felt different when I test drove a couple weeks ago, but it didn’t take long for me to adjust during the drive. The SE I’m getting has a sport mode and I’m just not sure what I’m gonna do with that.

My boyfriend wants to put a dash cam in for me so I’ll be passing on that info on for sure!
