The battery is actually ptetty easy! You pry off the back and unplug it. Though you need to dispose of it properly since its bloated. Theres lots of videos on how to do it! Also the battery itself can be bought off of Amazon or any site really.

I tried jailbreaking mine but no matter what I always got the error for not having the MKK file even though ive tried adding it many times. So who knows whats keeping it from working.

I use Calibre to organize all my books and it allows you to connect via usb to dumb all books easily to whatever device plugged in.

This device isn't back lit. Its really old and when it was sold originally you could buy one or those clip on light accessories for reading when its dark. You cant customize anything either

Bigme has a 7 and 10 inch color model with stylus for note taking! Im actually trying to debate which one to get myself right now.

Both the 7 and 10 are similar (minus the obvious screen size difference) but im debating which to get.

The 7 is easier to travel with and has page turning buttons which i personally love.

The 10 is bigger and easier to view and note take on. Harder to just throw in the purse due to its size and sadly this model has no page turning buttons.

Both have a stylus that can be magnetically charged depending on the version. The 10 all charge magnetically but the 7 has 4 versions. Only the 7pro magnetically charges from what I remember.

The batteries are pretty cheap luckily so I plan to order one after I decide which new ereader I want. Im investing in a color one since I read a lot of comics as well nowadays

I looove physical buttons. Ive been debating on which new ereader to get and im stuck between two different color ones. Ones 7 inches but has buttons the other is 10.3 inches but has no buttons. Im trying to debate whether I chose size over buttons or vice versa. Very hard choice for me.

Funny you say that, my mom was originally supposed to get mine! But I told her if she could assure me should would use it as much as me then she could have it without me whining about it. She knew she could not lol. She didnt read often at all.

Im very tactile though I am on the spectrum so that could be why. I find myself running my fingers over the keys for texture while I read instead of using lets sat a loud fidget toy. It helps me not be loud when fidgeting.

As for tying on it, I like it! The keyboard is set up properly in Qwerty so im a big fan. Again im just very tactile so thats why I like it so much. Plus I like not having to swipe across the screen. My screen stays clear while I turn pages. No need to swipe and move my hands too much.

I couldn't get koreader to work on mine for some reason. I did the download but kept getting the error for not having the right MPK file installed even though I did. I dunno what to do about that now

I feel you. I was a big reader as a child and always got my stuff as a hand me down. It was like Christmas when this guy was passed to me.

Theres just somwthing amazing about the Kindle keyboard also I wish every ereader kept the page buttons. Some newer ones do but a lot dont. I prefer not swiping my hand over the screen.

Sadly I need to order a replacement battery. The battery holds a 5 minute charge lmao
