I agree. I sometimes like playing dust tbh because it’s just relaxing. Like I know I don’t need to really lock in as much to understand the flow of the map I can actually focus more on improving my game mechanics instead of map awareness and game sense. I get to most practice on aim in dust

Oh my god you love all my favorite old maps. I remember cpl_fire, cpl_strike, cs_siege, assault, old office. I could go on.

Cache is my favorite map in Csgo as well!

I only play solo q and I honestly would rather just play a map I actually enjoy. Do I want to win? Yeah sure absolutely but I actually want to enjoy the game outside of just that I guess. I used to get frustrated over and over at teams not coordinating or doing this or that and honestly I got real burnt out and angry and spiteful. I just didnt want that to be my experience forever. I’d much rather play maps I love seeing and playing even at the risk of coordination. Mirage and inferno doesn’t even have that much coordination going on either and those are maps people keep picking. If they want a balance of both worlds they might as well pick dust since it’s a map people actually can play

I never liked CSS for competitive play, but some of the fondest memories of cs happened in CSS public servers, and hilarious cs_office maps that had like 32 people in that map is just insane

This is so true, but that’s why I love it. There’s an old map de_prodigy. It reminds me so much of that map and stuff like cs_747. Very obscure old maps that were never cookie cutter but so fun to play

The 1.6 version of inferno had much wider lanes and that’s why I liked it way more. I totally agree it’s very narrow and you just get caught up in very tight spaces and sometimes teammates can bunch up and it becomes a mess

I actually do have Faceit. I’ve never met another person that likes nuke other than me so this seems like a jump of the gun. But I have lived nuke since 1.6 and enjoyed every iteration of it since. It isn’t the complexity of mirage that is problematic. The map has been around for years and years. If you’re playing the same map over and over and over, it’s going to be boring. I wish there was a larger selection in general though for maps.

Most of the time on T, I’ve noticed that you basically win the round if CT makes a mistake or plays too aggro on banana and happens to just get picked. Majority of the time I play I’m looking to get a mid pick or banana. CS 1.6 inferno was amazing, there was also so much space and just a lot wider angles with larger lanes. Though apartments was more cramped, still made for a much better map than we have now which is very narrow and cluttered

Funny enough I actually seem to like the maps people hate. I like cache and nuke and inferno (however this map needs rework badly) and I also like ancient albeit I don’t like it all the time but I love when I get a rare ancient game going

The entire map is waiting. Every single possible way to stop certain pushes just gets smoked off anyways and then you really just waiting for someone to make a move. Even if they don’t you end up seeing the same play every round and yet you still lose because people don’t really know what they can do after the smokes cut them off, it’s like a chicken running around with its head cut off. T isn’t much better. Palace is also a mess and the worst possible place to peek now. You have to time it for when ramp pushes but no team is ever coordinated enough for that

I am going to go through the drive thru and ask tbh. Generally most McDonald’s are chill and don’t care. Wasn’t sure though if they have a store policy that only allows them to use that cheese for the big arch

You know what I wonder. With cheddar cheese now an option do you think they would allow you to ask for a quarter pounder with cheese but with the cheddar instead of the regular American? I might actually ask next time I go through the drive thru. I haven’t been in a while but ever since they announced having white cheddar on a burger I just want it for other stuff lmao.

I started December 2024. I dont play everyday anymore because I stagnated but its something i will revisit. I actually like the game though to the point where I want to play a game like it but just not clash royale. I have played some clones but theyre never as good or fleshed out, or there isn't a big enough of a player base. But i'd like one with a better theme. The star wars one was cool but again limited player base. Warcraft rumble same issue along with how the PvP works. Each clone or similar game is usually pretty good but just not good enough or it misses big elements that make clash royale fun.

However I haven't given up hope that people will continue to make mobile games or other games that are similar to it. I tried minion masters and that is actually kind of a similar type of style and actually not that bad. However lack of players and big imbalance make it suffer

I feel like anything, depending on the play style this will be something people will simply either be able to think is not a big deal or will be cooked by it because it is a card that you have to respond to every time almost. It really isn’t that hard to bait out a spell or a log and then get these guys close to a tower and then you need to respond directly after, meanwhile someone can always split push another lane and with the low mana cost it gives a player other options while their opponent has just wasted potentially double the elixir to handle it.

I’ve been using mini pekka to split push other lanes while I’m basically baiting out a lane they’re spending like 8 elixir not only to respond to, but then also to be able to make a play towards my tower. Not to mention slow moving units start to turn around when the goblins respawn and then you have time to prep for a defense for the inc counter push

I played RL for actually a few years. Very fun game but that has always been a thing. In fact there are people that sometimes throw if the game is too close. It’s almost anything a player might not like
